And that's the reason why Kishi hasn't used all those side characters. He can't turn everyone into a "Oh, will just let naruto handle everything" zombies. If I can recall wasn't his special ability Hypnosis, suppose he was just trying to Jedi Mind Fuck Ichigo & his father saved his little punk ass, it wouldn't be the first time that it happened, his dad being squad zero is cool however who was his mother, one of my theories' is that he's related to this 'myth' Soul Society King, or could even be the King himself and not know it, every time he goes into Hollow mode he gets stronger, however his 'normal' self is actually stronger than his Hollow mode, well only time will tell what he really is!
