After you got your own Mac did Windows just seem extremely archaic to you? I've been on Mac OS X for not even a full day but when I booted up my Sony FW390 laptop, Windows 7 looked like something Jesus used to write the Bible with. It looked like something found in an Kemetian Pyramid...an artifact. It sucks because I love Windows but it's luster is now gone and I don't think I can go back.

 @ eMachine

but nah, not right away... but that's my fault because I just grabbed it out the box and didn't take the time to read things like making the bottom right side of the track pad the right-click button (which I got around to doing a day or so later) after that? yeah, forget about it!

nope, with windows I feel I have more control over my system, I can defrag and check disk to make sure my drives are up to performance, and contrary to popular beliefs macs do get fragmented especially when you are trying to resize a disk and you have 300 gigs of free space but can only resize 20 gigs out of it. Cut and paste is also I nice feature I like with windows and all my editing and gif making apps dont come in a mac version. One thing I had to get use to was how the mac mouse feels, even with the highest mouse settings the thing just drags comparing to using a mouse on windows

I've been using a Mac since OS 6. Whenever I use a pc then come back to my mac it feels like I'm home.

I don't remember saying that OS X had features that Windows 7 didn't. What I did say though is that the design and layout of the OS makes it easier to operate thus increasing productivity.

I always found it awkward! Same with Ubuntu and they are somewhat similar to me layout wise.

I bet everyone who gave this thread a bad rating got stickers on the side of their computers.

Yo..... this was my exact reaction when I switched to Mac like 5 years ago.

A nigga felt like a Jetson at home and a Flintstone at work. :smh:

Sometimes I get confused and frustrated trying to find simple task
in windows (mainly 7 and Vista) makes sense cause I used them both
sparingly...the last one i really use was XP in 02? lol

This apple/adobe shit though:smh:

Just tossed my old PC the kids were using out, still got a windows laptop. When I go on it....it just seems so wrong.

Can't wait to get back on my Mac....

I agree I am waiting to get my imac tommorow. I can't wait:D
And ps that nigga name (Word!!) Is to fucking funny.lmao

what about the osx 'layout'(?) in particular makes w7 seem 'archaic' to you?

The whole entire OS from the way you access drives, to how you install software, it's menu system, it's icons and designs, it's literally the entire OS.

yes nigga and i Fucking luv it dude.
thanks for asking brother.
i got the 27 inch also but i got the lower version instead of the high new i5 and i7 processor. pockets still hurting.

Funny thing happened to me today, which makes me love my mac even more. Some lame-ass hacked one of my friends AIM and was talking to all her friends. I knew something was funny cause you can tell when its your people. They were asking me if I would do them a favor and tell them who was in a pic with me, but the file was a .scr file. Obviously the Mac don't fuck with those. So this idiot try's to get me to go on a PC to download it. Anyway, Im glad the Mac didn't fuck with it cause I accepted it on reflex from my friend and had I had a PC. Im sure I would have been fucked.

i find myself on my mbp more than my pc workstation even though the screen size is 13in and my workstation is 27in. I use my 50in lcd as a monitor alot with my mbp. I just prefer doing everything but using ms office on my mbp. Dude on that show leverage has a mbp hooked up just like mine with a black speck case which I thought was cool.

I can use either OS. i like win7. I prefer windows' windowing method and file explorer. Its more convenient to me. I dont really give a shit either way as long as Im using a recent linux distro, leopard or win7/win2k8.
