That's b/c you already have a prior photoshop installation in there. It must be Photoshop CS4 trial that expired or something else i'm not aware of. Before installing any adobe product you would need to deactivate the prior serial before installing the new product/program. Here's what i've pulled from Adobe.

Brother, i've NEVER experienced such an issue with this program, so i have no idea what this error is about. What i would suggest is for you to uninstall this program and reinstall. I am soon to upload a program that will successfully have MAC users uninstall programs. Be on the look out for it, the program is called AppZapper. Uninstalling programs on MAC is way different compared to PC, so just don't place the program icon into the trash bin; that's a NO NO.

The coding that you would place in the "terminal document" would bar adobe from phoning home, & you can update without any concerns (no need for little snitch). Positively speaking; you being new to this is not a problem, there are haters that will make the "attempt" of belittling on BGOL.

Some programs aren't necc, BUT to be on the safe side, download APPZapper on the 4th page and utilize that program to successfully uninstall a program to install your new one. PEACE!
