I'm sorry to say it but, kobe is better than jordan!!

Yep, Jordan was the most unselfish player we've ever seen in the NBA.

2mzf8s9.jpg

- nah, i won't say Kobe is at JORDAN status, but he is close...also, he IS more selfish than MJ was (partially b/c he has more garbage players) - but he STILL won a championship so :dunno:

Like what? Well besides quit on teams, demand trades, get blown out by record amounts in playoffs, lose in title series, play second fiddle on 3 of his title teams whiel failing to win finals mvp...

Seriously guys, lets just let the guy be himself and appreciate his talent without comparing him to MJ.

of course 81 pts, NBA single game 3-pt record, 60 pts in 3 qrts, thru 3 quarters Kobe 62 Dallas Mavs 61 (Mavs went to finals that year),left handed 3-pointer, left handed everything, 61 in the Garden, start all-star game at 19, 4 titles by age 30, 50 pts in 4 straight games, i'm sure there is more stuff.

& all this by 31. 2 more all-nba 1st team d's he ties Jordan as well. Scored more points than Jordan by 31 too (ok that's a cheap one).

that is a very short weak list. Now do you want to see the list of all the things Jordan has done that Kobe hasnt....going to take you a long ass time to read it because there is not even a comparison brah..not even a comparison statistically or in terms of who holds more records..and more meaningfull records..compare things like scoring titles, defensive players of the years, rookie of year,titles, league mvps, finals mvps, all defensive teams, scoring average, rebounding average, steals, better T.O. ratio, MUCH higher playoff scoring average, finals scoring average, etc etc... aint even a comparison..and it shows your lack of basketball history to even try to make this comparison..now if you go overall to encapsulat the entire spectrum, Jordan literally owns 100s of more records than Kobe... look it up..

On his way to a 72 win season right? And Kobe is better, has a better cast and the Kings roster tonight is worse than that raptors team so i dont see how he was down by 20 to being with is my point.

Like what? Well besides quit on teams, demand trades, get blown out by record amounts in playoffs, lose in title series, play second fiddle on 3 of his title teams whiel failing to win finals mvp...

Seriously guys, lets just let the guy be himself and appreciate his talent without comparing him to MJ.

that is a very short weak less. Now do you want to see the list of all the things Jordan has done that Kobe hasnt....going to take you a long ass time to read it because there is not even a comparison brah..not even a comparison statistically or in terms of who holds more records..and more meaningfull records..compare things like scoring titles, defensive players of the years, rookie of year,titles, league mvps, finals mvps, all defensive teams, etc etc... aint even a comparison..and it shows your lack of basketball history to even try to make this comparison..Jordan literally owns 100s of more records than Kobe... look it up..

well, Kobe came in the league at 17 so rookie of the year was a tough one for him to get, i did compare all-d teams and kobe is on track to catch mj, i'd argue jordan would not get finals mvp's on a team w/ shaq in his prime (it doesn't make since to not give it to the guy shooting 60%), jordan's got kb on scoring titles for what that's worth - kobe's 35pts per in '06 is the highest average since jordan's 37 in '87 tho (and if we're talking scoring = wilt), mvp's jordans got, kb will have 2 after this year and we'll see where he goes from there (and Nash having 2 mvp's rtainted the award anyway)....i answered the question what kobe's done jordan hasn't.

and my lack of bball history? please. we're not going back that far talking jordan. was around for his whole career buddy....and the funny thing, is even tho he's retired MJ GETS BETTER EVERY YEAR haha thanks to peeps like you massaging his balls.

@eewwll

and it's shit like the list you posted that blinds you to the fact that if you look at their skill level as basketball players there is a very legitimate debate as to who the better basketball player is.

... but never about how Boston got Garnett and Allen for nothing.

Where did you get that idea??? Ever heard of a young fella named Al Jefferson??? You know the one who averaged 23 PPG and 11 RPG last year. He (along with 4 other players and 2 First Round picks) was traded for Garnett. That's far from "nothing."

And Ray Allen was hardly traded for "nothing" either. Ever heard of Delonte West or Wally Szcerbiak or Jeff Green??

check my post above. There is no comparison. And yes, you clearly show a lack of basketball history attempting to say Kobe has done things that Jordan hasnt done as a point of argumentation. The list for Jordan is MUCH longer, multiple times longer, and much more substantial as I have clearly hown. It is laughable that you would even attempt to use that as a premsie for your argument. Give that up.. that argument is lost and Kobe has very little chance to win the argument on a stastical basis... at this point, he needs to win TITLES.. the only area that he can catch Jordan in possibly

fucka outta you.. .you are one the one who made the list argument :lol::lol: now Im blind because the facts kills your argument.. you muthafuckas are clowns :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

@eewwll

kobe can't catch jordan in all-d 1st teams? 2 to tie 3 to win....i mean, Jordan was the man on his team from the jump so he has bigger numbers but started winning when his scoring dropped.

When Kobe didn't have shit on his team he dropped 35 a game - higher than all Jordan's season scoring averages except one.

I'm making a point about skill level as well aside from numbers. Like I said Kobe has done shit Jordan couldn't.

fucka outta you.. .you are one the one who made the list argument :lol::lol: now Im blind because the facts kills your argument.. you muthafuckas are clowns :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

list argument? what are you taling about? question was ask what kobe has done jordan hasn't.

and here you come w/ your cut & paste MJ argument from 10 years ago. fuck outta here. your heros #1 status is on the line. sorry.

@eewwll

Stop with the IF stuff or conditionals. In that case, Kobe maybe wouldnt even have a title if he werent drafted to the Lakers and started his career on already good team with a hall of fame center and shaq who had dominant finals performances to get kobe his first three titles when he was clearly in no position to lead the team himself.

So lets just stop with the ifs. The IFs dont play out well for Kobe

When Kobe didn't have shit on his team he dropped 35 a game - higher than all Jordan's season scoring averages except one.

Jordan has the highest average in one season, per season for career, playoffs, finals etc... either way you chop it up, jordan wins in every example when it comes to scoring average. So give the argument.

I'm making a point about skill level as well aside from numbers. Like I said Kobe has done shit Jordan couldn't.

Jordan did 100s of more things that Kobe couldnt;..so your point is what.. that Kobes 5 things are >>> than the 100s by Jordan :lol::lol::lol::lol

Jordan had a greater wingspan, vertical, hang time, was faster (on recording dashes), stronger (recordes bench presses, etc), bigger hands...

Jordan has the better field goal percentage, better scoring averages, better rebounding averages, better steals averages, was better in the best.. has the about the same 3 point average as Kobe, was the better defenders, etc..... definitely played in a better league where defenders could hand-check, bang you in the post, etc....

won more titles, etc.

so how is Kobe the better player at this point

:lol::lol::lol:

even if kobe is better i would never admit it. all individual stats aside, mj never lost in the finals...mj was always clutch IN THE FINALS.

yeah yeah. Kobe's already been to the finals as many times as jordan and i'm betting he will grab more rings. Magic went to the finals 9 times. it's not Magic's fault he faced better competition than jordan haha

list argument? what are you taling about? question was ask what kobe has done jordan hasn't.

nigga that is a fucking list....You listed the things that Kobe has done that Jordan didnt as the premise of your argumetn....are you stupid.:smh::smh::smh::smh: ok..you made the list..unfortunately the list of things that Jordan has done that Kobe hasnt even infinintely longer..

This shit is an easy argument. Kobe doesnt win in either of two ways you can analyze this... quantatively (stats) or qualitatively (accomplishments like titles, mvps, etc). And its easy to analyze being the played the same position.

read the thread bro. my original post was in response to what kobe has done that mj hasn't. you brought on everything outside of that.

& there is something looking at the guys as players as oppose to awards & records. Kobe's got a better J for example, kobe's got a better left. Jordan was better driving, jordan was more efficient with he ball. Kobe's got a better handle but tries all kinda shit that cause turnovers, jordan kept it simple w/ his handle and was more in control for it.

like i said Jordan somehow gets better every year.

This is coming from a die hard Lakers and Kobe fan: Jordan is the basketball "GOD". Case closed.

Kobe, Lebron, Wade, or whoever else will never ever be better than Jordan. They should even be happy that their names are mentioned in the same breathe with Jordan's name. :yes:

Yes Kobe has, and is doing some amazing things this year and prior years, but why the fuck do we need "buzzer beaters" to win games? If the Lakers plan to repeat this year, they need to step up the D and put teams away. I mean why the fuck did we bring Artest aboard if our D was only going to get shittier? We barely have a PG right now. Kobe is the Assist leader on a team where we have 3 PGs. We will not repeat with this shitty ass squad if we do not do something about PG play.

Again, Jordan is the basketball "GOD", and lets stop the Jordan/Kobe comparisons as it makes no sense. :smh:

:hmm: Another late 80's early 90's baby loose on bgol...Learn about the nba first son. Jordan changed the game, Kobe is imitating Jordan's highlight reels at best. And for the cat's that keep saying give Kobe a "Pippen", come the fuck on. Ok so give him Pippen and take away Odom, Gasal and Fisher, let him play the 88-92 Piston, Knicks, and Barkley led 76's and lets see how far he gets. Kobe is a great player that has established himself as such but you niggas wit his dick in your mouths that never saw Jordan play or understand how the league was then compared to now need to seriously shut the fuck up.

Truth. Kobe has had better teams than Jordan his entire career. Jordan never had a true big man. Kobe has a very good one now and once had one of the greatest ever gtfoh. These young cats don't even realize that 95% of championship teams have a great big man. Jordan is the only dude to win multiple chmpionships without one.

Further more Kobe will never match Jordans career scoring avg, even with the league rules changed to help fools score today. Kobe is dropping 40 the past few nights??!!

Jordan avg 37 for a entire season :lol::lol: gtfoh!!!

:lol:@eewwll pretty much /thread

I like Kobe but Jordan played in a time when teams actually played Defense

Funny shit is Kobe isn't even the best Laker of all time. Right now I'd put him third behind Magic and Kareem....:lol:

man what kind of drugs you was taking over the holidays for you to say something like that...:smh::smh:

NO ONE IS BETTER THAN MICHEAL JORDAN!!!!!

Don't worry, there is some youngin in grade school right now, whom in 15 years people will be saying is better than Kobe and Jordan. Folks just need to understand, Jordan was the best when he was doing it and Kobe is believe by some to be the best at it while he is doing it. I knew shit had changed when my 18 yr old son asked me when the camera was put on Phil Jackson during a Lakers game "he use to coach the Bulls right'? I looked at him then had to remember he was born in 1991 after the Bulls had won their first Championship and was only 7 when they won their final Championship so although he has grown up in Chicago his whole life, the Bulls winning Championships is as foreign as Ali winning boxing titles to me and I was born in the early 70's.

Being from Chicago, I am too biased to give my opinion on who is better in the Jordan versus Kobe debate.... but like I said the Kobe lovers just get ready, in the next ten years you will be on the side the Jordan fans are now...Those whom came of age during he Jordan years remember the Jordan, Dr. J debates so maybe Kobe will one day put to rest the idea that Jordan is better than him in the same way Jordan put the rest the idea that Dr. J was better than him.. Time will tell...

Shiii...they won't have to wait that long.

yea yea, bring the haters in....this nigga kobe is unbelievable! Clutch factor is right up there with jordan's. He hit 3 game winners within the last month. If he get's another ring this year it's really official that he's better than jordan. Haterz what y'all got to say, people make a million threads when they lose, but hate when they win...i Love it....KOBE :lol::lol: oh yea not to mention, he's averaging 40 a nite these last past games with a broken finger. and puts 20 on niggas with his left hand!!! what can u say really???

I'm not really a Kobe hater, I just think early in his career he was a cry baby. I must admit he is doing his thing. If the numbers show it then he can't be denied.

Kobe is about 88-93% Jordan. 5 rings will move that to 95%. 6 rings will move that to 97% 7 rings will put him even.

Now, if he continues with the post play, and increasing his FG% up to 50% and upping his assist/turnover ratio, I'll give it to him. Right now, he still has serious flaws.

But he does have 81

Jordan never had 81

the fact that you have to come up with an argument to prove Kobe is better than Mike actually proves he is not. No one has to prove why Jordan is the best player. His resume speaks for itself.

Kobe is a great player. But Jordan he is not. The fact that Kobe still basically emulates everything Jordan does, from his facial expressions to his walk tells the story. No one tries to be someone they're greater than. Just saying.
