One of my aunt's just passed away from ovarian cancer. She had not been to a gyno in 6 years when she found out she had cancer, and by then it was too late. Early detection is key. Even if you are celibate, you must get a yearly pap smear.

On another note, my uncle is in the hospital right now too. He had surgery this past week and he's having a little bit of difficulty in his recovery. HOPEFULLY the things they were talking about doing (yesterday) to test/treat him will make things (much) better soon and he will be able to make a full recovery and come home with a better quality of life...
