Jim Cornette parted ways with the company as well. I have yet to hear if it was TNA releasing him or Cornette opting to leave the company, but given the timing of James' release, it was probably the former. After making a few calls about the rumor of his departure, I am 99% sure that he and the company have indeed severed ties. Of late, Cornette had been working in the production truck at the Impact tapings and helping a lot of the younger talent. In my mind, Cornette's departure is a huge loss to the company as I don't think anyone has as much passion for wrestling as he does.
