Jim Cornette released by TNA (Another TNA Fail)

Jim Cornette parted ways with the company as well. I have yet to hear if it was TNA releasing him or Cornette opting to leave the company, but given the timing of James' release, it was probably the former. After making a few calls about the rumor of his departure, I am 99% sure that he and the company have indeed severed ties. Of late, Cornette had been working in the production truck at the Impact tapings and helping a lot of the younger talent. In my mind, Cornette's departure is a huge loss to the company as I don't think anyone has as much passion for wrestling as he does.

This is a major fail for TNA. There are very few people in wrestling with Cornette's vast experience in all aspects of the business: performer, booker, agent, producer, owner. I just can't think of a good reason to let him go.

They also let go of BG James, the former Road Dogg of the New Age Outlaws and the best version of DX.

The more I think about it the more it occurs to me that we got Cornette fired. I mean "we" the fans that were so gung ho and vocal on TNA giving his the booking duties when Jeff Jarrett was sent home. His popularity probably threatened someone and put a bulls' eye on his back.

"Thanks everyone for your kind words but, we are REALLY OK about all of this. Gives us more time to make QUALITY products for Cornette's Collectibles and devote our time to wrestling we actually enjoy being apart of."

- Tonight at 8PM, BG James, who was released by TNA yesterday, will appear on ESPN Radio in Milwaukee to discuss the release and his future plans. You can check out the show at espnmilwaukee.com .

Buy his Midnight Express book. It's great. Less a book with a bunch of stories, more like a scrapbook with a bunch of stories.

Unlikely but not impossible. It's entirely possible for them to bring by Brian Armstrong for a one time appearance to do the old DX "Oh you didn't know..." entrance. Stranger things have happened in wrestling (see Benoit-Sullivan feud over Woman who left Sullivan for Benoit for real or Jarrett-Angle feud while Jeff was fucking Kurt's estranged wife).
