**Light Skin vs. Dark Skin (THE FINAL SHOWDOWN!!!)**

Maaan, I thought this was a fucking parody. Then I realized that these dumb niggas were real. :smh: Especially at the women.

Wow, my people...I can't claim y'all.

Darkskin people would win anyway in a war.

Light skinned people can't even run that fast. When was the last time a light skinned person won a race?

Then again, good wavy hair is more aerodynamic ...

:itsawrap:

Dark skin people are used to the sun too. Light skins will start to tan and everything. We got that guuud melanin.

I think its about features. For instance Jada fire got most light skinned chicks i seen faded.

it seems like lightskinned woman are getting insecure since Michelle Obama got the first first lady, I guess they thought they would be the first to represent..
(the reality is they are showing ignorant people who unfortunately will be viewed as representing the whole faction of said race)
which is really silly but, it seems like they trying to say they are better because of their hair texture and complexion..

I mean maybe 40 thirty even 20 years ago, but now, its about what can you do..
not what I will do for you because of the way you look.

white folks played a game and treated light skin folks a little better, a little more inclusive when amongst darker skinned blacks. when a lightskined black is by themselves amongst white folks, they will ususally become militant in a matter of minutes.

the days of the paper bag society are over, where if you were lighter than a paper bag you were in..

and I think there are some folks that cant handle change..

Gotta Love that class act Michelle O!!!!

Sean, what is your purpose in posting this?

That video was nothing but a bunch of obviously pea-brained black people spouting nothing but ridiculous stereotypes about their own race...

When will people ever realize that there is no need for this kind of talk to occur in the African American community?!? This is almost as bad as that whole "Black in America" documentary featured by CNN...just as pointless, that is...

This is the MOST fucked up generation. What do you expect from a generation that is proud to refer to themselves as *******. Oh, I'm sorry, niggas!

This is why minorities have it bad in America. We are already a minority what sense does it make to further divide our strength by putting our selves against other shades of color. That vid is just a testament of the dumbass bullshit I had to go through in school. Guys telling me "Oh your pretty, to be DARKSKINNED" what type of shit is that. It's as if being dark is like having bad teeth or stinky breath. I think I'm pretty because of my dark skin. I like light guys I love the contrast of their facial hair against their glowing light skin. BUT there is nothing like a smooth dark chocolate fine ass brutha. There is nothing sexier than a man of color ANY COLOR. And that whole good hair shit is pointless I'm dark as they come and my hair is naturally curly past my shoulders:rolleyes:.

I think I'm pretty because of my dark skin.

Fuck that! I don't think I'm pretty because of the color of my skin...

I think I'm pretty because I convey everything a lady should from inside of her: poise, class and self respect.

I think I'm pretty because I carry myself in a way that makes other women wonder, "What's her secret?"

I think I'm pretty because people pay attention to what I have to say because, yes, it makes sense and there is eloquence in my voice...

I think I'm pretty because I could give a damn what another sister, brother, chink, cracker, mami, papi, or half-breed feels about me: I KNOW I look good, and I OWN it...

My skin might be light, but it never made me pretty...

Well here is the flip side; I have thought I was ugly my whole life because of my light skin so there :hmm:

This seems doubly stupid today. Because the days of passe blanc, Autocrat, brown paper bags, brickheads, "other" and the old 7th w/d are over.

So what is this shit?
A beauty contest about who's cute and who's not?

LOL Sean's calling out the brickheads.

can someone that read it tell me what was all that shit that peachy sweet typed about?????

Depends on what part you're refering to.

For instance, line 228 that talks about disassociation of lightskinned people with respect to societal stigmas is very compelling given the retort to the response in line 114.

That pasrt was stupid.

The ill thing is that vis says .. lightskin vs Darkskin 2009!!

yo it's 2009.. love ya self first, love ya reflection and all variations within the diaspora.

This lightskin/darkskin shit is more ignorant shit on Earth.

gatdamn! 4:45am Bigirl hate?

Bright n early huh.

You're acting like this "debate" is brand-new. It's been going on since slavery times.

I've always thought that hair texture and facial features are more of an "issue" within "us" as a ppl than actual complexion.

Why are people here still talking about this light skin, dark skin nonsense over and over again. This subject has come up so many times.

This is beginning to get a bit boring now.
