Whether we admit it or not, they were rivals in the 80's, why would one artist agree to letting another artist sing "Your butt is mine?" I tend to think Prince copied MJ's whole look like a girl/man thing in the 80's look like a lady but be a man thing was the rage with singing acts in the 80's and MJ sorta pioneered tat shit.

They were both great artist with different styles. Prince was more into the music and being true to himself and not reaching out as far to find acceptance by the general public, MJ was more interested in reaching out to as many people as possible gaining the ultimate in acceptance worldwide and he did that.

I never viewed them as rivals just guys in different lanes. Prince was never as big as MJ. And I doubt ever wanted to be or didn't wanna do the things it took to be that big.

Dude, I have been riding with Prince since Soft N Wet. I know Prince is not gay. I know that he was very much into the Glam thing which is also still very popular with the Gay community.
