The song Bad was written with Prince in mind and was supposed to be a battle between Prince and Michael Jackson on the song and in the video. They went to Prince with the song and he said "You dont need me to make this song a hit" and that was that. MJ did the song solo and that muthafucka has sold many many many millions and continues to go platinum over and over despite being released over 10 years ago. R.I.P. MJ.

That line is the equivalent of "yo ass is mine" which was said in many confrontations in 70's, 80's, and probably early 90's culture (movies, music, and such) and sports (particularly the pugilistic ones); usually to connote an intent to whip someone's ass. More than likely the only reason the line was "Yo' butt is mine" instead of "Yo ass is mine" was because at the time, Michael had a pretty strong affinity against foul language. I like Prince just like the next one but Fuck him for that one.

Yet another bone headed decision by Prince!!! Being in the BAD video would have made Prince a star. Instead, he is just the guy in Purple Rain who never made enough money to live in LA and was to short to ever really be a success.
