I fucking dare you. Unions, Law suit insurance, and all that crap just make it hard to make anything in the U.S. Even Medical care is being exported
Wait for Obama care by the way, All the good medical jobs (doctor, nurse, etc) will be in India or Ireland somewhere. Listen, the cat is out of the bag, you can't close up your borders, close your windows, and pretend that there isn't competition out their to sell products better than yours at a better price. Get used to it. Just try and find someway to get Jobs in your country.

That was the perception and quite frankly the truth for a log time. To help offset some of their labor costs, American car companies had to go cheap with materials, and do other things (planned obscelence) to keep the money flowing. Now that they realize that that is a fucked up model, they changed their ways, and there might not be any turning back. I know I for one will not buy any car built off my tax dollars unless the fucking price is subsidized. I will not pay any more than 1Million dollars for a low end model (Assuming that hyper inflation isn't too bad that would be about 1000 bucks in today's dollars).
I mean, what it the point of my tax money going into the company if the products aren't any cheaper. I mean corn is subsidized and corn syrup is cheaper because of it. Why not cars?
Anyway, Audi's are the best vehicles in the market out right now in my opinion.

I see many Japanese and European cars in the US , but rarely see American cars in Europe....Nuff Said!!

The manufacturing jobs that are exported primarily to the far east are jobs that the US economy has out grown.
With all the intellectual and technological advances that are available in the US, the job market has to evolve to to fit these growth areas...
Sewing clothes and assembling cars are not the jobs that Americans should be doing.....and probably not the jobs you want your kids to be doing when they grow up either!!!

Their markets may not be as free as the US but it's not communist Russia we're talking about, we're talking about Western Europe.
I am primarily talking about the UK which is one of the most liberal economies in the world and American car manufacturers can't get no market share!!!!

Back to original topic, up until last year, the number one US export was faulty securities.
These peeps are also forgetting about lack of decent treatment of workers around the world playing a major part in our artificially low priced goods. Some People argue our workers need to take less but in reality those workers in other nations should have to met our standards or we dont buy from them imo.

BMW and Mercedes may not be fuel efficient, but they sure as hell drive much better than anything made in the US....especially if you have to turn a corner on your journey!!!!
Man I'll add more to it on my own experience. The job I have is called Process Operator. 10 years ago you needed no experience to gain my type of employment. My grand father, uncles, aunt, and all my co workers came to the plant right after high school graduation. Now you need a 2 years Associate degree from a community college to just walk in the plants. Times have really changed. The days of a good job at 18 are over. Shit even with most Bachelors degrees and even Masters you're going to be making fucking pennies. I have friends who're Social Workers with Masters making less than 35k a year who live at home. 30 years ago that same person would be living a nice life. Not now
