He was a little off on the health care issue, I believe they all are in a way. Single payer isn't the only way, but a combination of the government providing healthcare to all that NEED it and then if you're able to afford the more premium healthcare plans you can go out and choose from a MUCH LARGER SELECTION. To me that makes the most sense.

I think you're pissed by dudes demeanor. He did seem pretty high-strung and over zealous, but his facts still stand. Nothing pseudo-intellectual about him.

You'd be surprised Truth, people look at you in the same vein on this board...:cool:

That's my problem with Bill Maher and him. They expect him to run the country like a dictatorship and not concede or change his views on anything. He's a politician after all. The democrats have the majority of the senate and congress, but this country is still mostly in the middle.

Remember those books when you were in elementary school, where you pick an option to see what happens next.

I wish they could see what this country was like if he didn't bail out GM, BOFA, Citigroup....

And most people don't feel gays need to get married to gain rights.

And I'm glad DL Hughley said something about fuckin Ronald Reagan.

In the aftermath, you would have been labeled Anti American.

Just pull out immediately, and not care about the aftermath?

The reality of it is that people would rather have wars over there that keeps them occupied, rather than having a war over here.

A think a lot of you think short sited on the repercussions of pulling out. If something happens, what are you going to say then?

They don't want us there, its their country not ours. We're there to steal their resources and control them. The Iraqi government has been trying to get the US to agree to a withdrawal date but the US government refuses. Look up the Status of Forces Agreement and get back at me. Yes, we're staying there even though they want us out.

So? Stopping another 9/11 has to do with clamping down on who gets in to the country not invasions. The fact that we've killed millions of people in 3 countries has nothing to do with that. Is it your position that 2,800 American lives = 1,000,000 + Middle Eastern lives?

Iraq was not connected to 9/11. Osama bin Laden was up in Afghanistan. We didn't target him when we invaded there. Tommy Franks stated point blank Osama wasn't the target, it was reported in a USA today article I used to link to until they took it down. Franks had Osama hemmed up in Tora Bora in 2001 but let him go since if they caught him their excuse for invading Iraq wouldn't have been there.

They've been doing this bullshit for decades. Read a fucking history book. You sound like you don't know jack shit about US foreign policy.
