***The Official Laker's vs Rocket's Thread

Actually Gasol was decent... the problem is that their support staff of Fisher, Walton, Ariza, and BYNUM!! were zombies :smh:

How does Bynum play 19 mins and have 0 points???

Bynum is overrated... He's Erick Dampier 2.0. Id trade his ass this summer for a Paul Milsap and move Pau to Center... the Lakers need a tough guy down low.

Gorilla pimpin'

But how many posts will there be... the haters will keep this thread alive til tomorrow morning. After Game 5 the thread was virtually dead. Lakers win = no posting from the haters, Lakers lose = the haters will skip work to post about "fakers" and "tobe"... After they win game 7, this thread will be over real quick.

Laker fans shouldnt be concerned with the Nuggets either... they have no Scolas or Landrys... physical/hustle guys fuck the Lakers up cuz they're soft in the paint. Also, they dont have a quick PG like Brooks/Deron williams. Billups is a different kind of gaurd, and a serious threat, but he cant expose Fisher like those other guards have. I got Lakers in 6.

:lol::lol::lol: You should be thinking about Rockets Game 7, talking about the Nuggets series and you are not done yet. That's probably why they are almost losing this one. Billups has the blueprint for beating the lakers in case you Forgot ,Pistons were always beating lakers whenever he was running the Offense. You also Forgot Nuggets Beat the lakers for the 1st time this season after so many years ??

Thats with the Pistons... the Nuggets are different and they are not as mentally tough as that championship team the he came from. Kenyon/JR/Carmelo/ are key guys for them, but can do some dumb shit at any time... that was never a concern in Detroit.

Then how did the Nuggets beat the Lakers in regular season for the 1st time after so many Years ??? And you're been sleeping on the Nuggets . Don't confuse them with the Nuggets the lakers intimidated last year in the 1st Round

what he get???

i missed that

The Lakers and Andrew Bynum have agreed in principle on a four-year contract extension worth about $58 million, keeping their center of the future in the fold through the 2012-13 season, according to sources familiar with the negotiations who would not speak publicly.

Bynum, who will make $2.8 million this season, will earn close to $42 million over the first three years of his contract extension. The fourth year will be a team option for about $16 million.

The Lakers declined to comment, although an announcement could come as early as this afternoon.

David Lee, Bynum's agent, spent more than a week in Los Angeles trying to negotiate the extension and returned to his New York home Wednesday afternoon without a deal in place.

Lee, however, will return to Los Angeles today, to formalize the deal, one day before the Friday deadline for contract extensions for players such as Bynum.

Both sides appeared to be far apart earlier in the week, with Bynum's agent asking close to an average of $17 million a year on a five-year deal and the Lakers countering with an average of $11 million a year over five years.

But the sides came to terms on an average salary of $14.5 million a year and four years.

If an agreement had not been reached, Bynum would have become a restricted free agent next July, though the Lakers would have retained the right to match any offer he received from an NBA team next summer.

The Lakers have about $80 million on their payroll this season, and with the Bynum deal the team has already earmarked more than $75 million toward next season's payroll, with most of it going to Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Bynum. Although Bryant could opt out of his contract next July and sign for longer period with the team.

Bynum, who turned 21 on Monday, underwent knee surgery during the off-season, but he turned in a solid effort Wednesday night against the Clippers, compiling 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots in 25 minutes.

He has begun to show signs of the player he was last January, when he averaged 17.3 points and 12.3 rebounds in six games before his season was ended because of a bone bruise in his left knee and brief dislocation of the kneecap.

Bynum had off-season surgery in May to remove cartilage debris and smooth out rough spots on the underside of his kneecap.

He has continually declared himself to be pain-free and has worn a black brace on the knee as a precaution this season.

"Everything's been fine," he said last week.

Bynum has insisted the contract talks weren't bothering him.

"Not really, because if I go out and play the way I'm supposed to, it'll take care of itself," he said recently.

Bobcats beat the Lakers in the regular season too? Thats not a 7 game series.

The more reasons for the lakers to be worried especially how they've been Performing this Playoffs. Blowing up huge leads, Now this Houston series, it's bound to catch up to them.

Chuck would be more dangerous if he was taller.

I like his toughness.

yep, and whats so crazy is he isn't even a great athlete like say a ben wallace...all and all though he is 6'6 without much athleticism...if the Lakers bigmen were on their shit they should be killing him

he is playing with the heart, mental toughness, and passion that is the difference.

the lakers frontline is soft.

Its catching up to them now... its been a huge concern all season. Not just blowing leads, but inconsistent defensive effort is a bigger concern imo... they play solid defense for maybe 10min a game and thats not good enough. They play like the Suns of a few yrs ago+ a tiny amount of D:smh::smh::smh:

:hmm:

you gonna sit here and say that tech was a good call? and that foul they called damn near right after that ...was a good call....gtfoh

You're right, problem is that everybody knows that the lakers USUALLY get the good side of the bad calls. So it's ironic that Laker fans are complaining.

I don't think he's Dampier. Before the injury he looked like he was actually starting to figure out what he was doing in the post.

Even the four games he played at the end of the season he was much more aggressive than he is now. I just don't think he has any confidence right now and thats why he's playing like complete shit which the lakers can't afford for him to do right now. If you have no confidence with your offensive game that's no excuse for not hustling and working to get rebounds.

When he's on the court he looks like he just has no control of his limbs and he may commit dumb fouls just to get out of the game.

This year he's making 2.5 million. Next year 12.2 million so he needs to man up and get his game together.

The good thing is he's only 21 and I remember when Kobe was in the playoffs in his early years shooting airballs and playing like shit. He did the right thing and used that embarrassment as the fuel to light a fire under him to improve his game.
