For me, there is one prime example...I've dated 2 women who had handicapped parking stickers so that they didn't have to walk far, and that they'd always have a space...and there was nothing wrong with them physically whatsoever. They would use handicapped parking spaces that could have been used by someone else, and they actually saw nothing wrong with this...this showed that they were only thinking about themselves, which also translated into how they acted in our relationship, which I found out the hard way later...

So what were some signs that you may have ignored at first that later showed that she was a diva?

I can add another one...when a woman has no problem calling you out for any perceived wrong or comment you make, but can't handle it when you call her out if she steps out of line in her comments or actions, saying that you calling her out is bullshit, and even wanting to end the relationship altogether...that is diva-esque behavior because it is implying that she can do no wrong, but you are always at fault...I'm sure some of you have been down this road...

There may be different levels of "diva", but I think she describes the most extreme of them in this piece. Not all "divas" are like this, but honestly I think most of us see the type of person (woman) she describes when we hear that word...

As much as I despise these corny labels ("diva", "boss", "hustler", "swag") this right here is the most succinct
definition of a "diva". Some broad who only has her God-given (shit sometimes Man-made) good looks and absolutely nothing else to offer. Nonetheless, she has a stank ass attitude and a million +1 excuses for her bad behavior. "Diva" is not a label I'd want any sista to strive for.

Public Service Announcement-
I consider myself many of things and a DIVA is one of them. But folks who know me in REAL LIFE know that the examples some of ya'll listed are not of the DIVA persuasion...More of the Hood-Rat, Ghetto and chicken head label in my opinion.
Do your thing, but learn the 2009 meaning like the previous young lady mentioned....Because really I already saw this turning into ONE MORE BGOL BLACK WOMAN BASHING THREAD....Which is not what I believe the OP original intent was.
