Pocket PC Owners come on in

I've been trying out the Iris Browser on my HTC Touch and I like it. It doesn't use as much memory as Opera 9.5. I say check it out see if you like it. I'm running version 1.1.3 It loads pages pretty fast:

Skyfire just took my phone to a whole new level. Instead of having to go to a site. Download. Wait. Then play. This thing lets you see sites live. Videos load up and everything. Something to think about...


The only problem is is that it is beta and the navigation is pathetic. I am used to Opera now. When they get it fixed i will give it a real look.

If you gotta get a phone now... go with the Omnia or the TouchPro... but if you can wait... wait for the OmniaHD.... but check around cause it may not comeout on VZW....
And remember you don't have to get your phone from VZW... just check for the phone you really want then search for it on the type of network your carrier supports...
In VZW's case it's CDMA
Sprint too...
AT&T and TMob.... GSM

Other carriers are on one of the above 4's network..

get a used phone until bout Oct of this year.. if you can..

That Omnia on GSM is dead right.. but they held back on the reso... didn't want Apple coming after them... Yeah Samsung make most of the parts for the iPhone...... check out the specs for the Omnia and now the OmniaHD..... and why you think VZW ain't advertin... the Omnia big time... don't want apple to look over there at it... tho I'm sure Samsung covered they asses...

and lastly... LG coming up the rear with some hot WinMo phones.

I was just in the verizon store earlier today thinking about copping the Omnia i900. I need a phone bad. Im still fuckin with the old school nokia flip on pre-pay service with that game "Snake" on it.:smh:

When is the Omnia HD gonna drop though? That shit aint even officially out in Europe yet is it?

what seems to be the actual problem? if you are trying to install the cab file, copy that to your memory card, put the card back in your device. go to your file explorer and find where you saved the cab file to. click on it, it will install. the keygens are there also, seeing that this is a resco app, all you do is out your device name in the keygen and a code will be generated for you to register.

I got the Verizon Omnia. It is a beast, HOWEVER, you really have to play around with it for a while. There are tweaks, registry edits, apps and multimedia programs that will floor you. Those are the pluses. The negatives are that Verizon tech support (in my experience) is virtually useless. So are the Samsung USA reps. I am sure they are better now then they were in December, but you could get real frustrated trying to get help from "experts" who know less than you.

As far as the Omnia HD. WAIT on it fam. 1. It is being run on a Symbian OS. 2. Samsung is making a lot of phones lately, but they are not keeping up with the support and apps. The Omnia was the #1 selling Windows phone in Feb. and their support/firmware updates (at least for the US) are poor. Read up on Windows apps and Symbian apps and programs. There is a major difference. That HD screen will woo you, but you got to think hard about it IMO.

i was going to put the latest version on my phone (2.1.5), but I will wait until this comes out.
 
Is there anyway that I can restore my Mogul back to the original windows default OS without doing a hard reset? I am running TouchFLO now.
 
Just copped that Samsung Omnia:yes::yes::yes: I ould say I'm impressed so far.


I don't think the interface is that bad...but I do want to upgrade it and get some interactive apps for this phone. One thing thats bugging me out is I can't get pictures to save for shit. :smh:
 
Sup fellow Windows Mobile users. I did a serch of the term "baecode" in this thread but turned up nothing. I know there is a barcode reader for Windows Mobile phones but I don't know he name of them. Can someone in here point me in the right direction??

For those that dont want to deal with installing cracked version of TomTom or Garmin

I've used previous version of this in the past and it sucked but this new version looks promising. I personally use Garmin Mobile XT and have used Destinator Igo* and Tom Tom in the past and they all are good for the most part...Garmin(the latest version) is the best in my opinion due to free traffic updates and fule price lookup and google maps intergration(with search capabilities)....Anyway...

What do you mean exactly? When you take a picture you delete it or save it. If you delete it it goes one picture back (or the last one saved). You then have the option to take another pic. if you save it it gets stored on the 8gig internal memory.

The "My Pictures" folder on the device IS NOT where those pictures get stored. Don'tknow if this helps at all.
