I like the show but I just hope the other vampires in the show aren't weak like that one dude was. How the fuck do two human hillbillies trick a vampire and then hold dude down with (Silver necklaces?) to drain him. Shouldn't he have been able to beat the shit out of both of them before they could do that?
wonder will there be a gif made out of the ending scene![]()
That's bullshit.
Yeah, leave that type of character to Sam Jackson. Give black actresses only saintly and dull roles.![]()
I actually got annoyed because I couldn't figure out if dat's how dey actually wanted her to be portrayed or whether da bitch was just a bad actress dat was over doin da role.
She was if not da only bad thing bout dat show.![]()
this ish right here got me

Sam Jackson is only one male character. Maybe since you aren't black it's hard for you to understand "us" hating to see sisters portrayed as ignorant time and time again.
The show is based on a series of mystery novels written by a fat white woman.
i thought it was coo...definitely gonna give it a shot.
Still..aint nothin fukkin wit Dexter
Once again; Hollywood misses the mark with regards to people of color (Blacks in particular). It's funny; HBO runs this series & then it airs The Black List: Volume #1 right after it.![]()
Yeah; like they really care...![]()

I too did not like the black chick thought she a little over the top though they did show her weakness.
I don't think every character is "over the top." I can't say I agree with the black comedy part but I will agree with the bigotry angle.EVERY character is "over the top." That's kinda the idea of the series. It's a black comedy, not a serious drama. It's an amusingly offbeat horror farce about bigotry.
HBO is far and away the GREATEST network for black people in the history of television. Your own personal bigotries and stereotypes are the problem, and not the network's. Apparently, black FICTIONAL characters can only be presented ONE WAY in your narrow (prejudiced) world view. Sad.
It was the white "southern" gal (Anna Paquin) who was way over the top with her fake-ass accent. The show is a CARTOON. It's meant to be a dark comedy. Get da message, fool?
Anna Paquin is the same chick that played Rogue in the X-Men flicks. Didnt seem any more over the top than her accent in those films. As for the black chick, yeah..the character is over the top...but I think the director wanted it like that. It is supposed to have elements of a dark comedy. Overall, I liked it though. The concept is fresh enough to carry it for a while. As long as the writing stays good it could be a good series. But I mean... since when does HBO make bad series?
