Los - Was signed to Bad Boy but Diddy put him on the shelf so he does mixtapes. One just dropped not too long ago.

Bossman and Comp are still around. They both drop songs every now and again but I think there buzz is gone and they'll both be just local MC's.

The big dude was a very bad accident in DC a few years ago and lost both his legs. He almost didn't make it.

There are some new cats out here in Bmore trying to do there thing. You should check out Verb, Greenspan, and Skarr Akbarr just to name a few.

There is a version of "A Millie" that Verb and Mullyman did that is sick also.

Most major artists seem to fall victim to thhier label and being molded into what ever is popular, which means they end up sounding like a down south artist. Its still a lot of decent artists on the underground and independent circuit.

Our main problem is we dont support our own, which is one thing I can say that DC does that we dont do, hence why Wale is blowing up.

Most baltimore niggas are garbage and don't bring anything special to the game. On the commercial side of things, most of their songs aren't catchy enough to be played in the southern dominated hip hop market and fail to reach the young white rebellious demographic.

Also, Baltimore revolves its music scene around that wack ass bmore club music. It's better than that DC Go-Go shit, but its still gaaaarrbage.

the number one reason is the DJ's basically blackball people who dont buy their tracks and try to manage their careers and fuck em up. So it's not enough outlets in the area. I would say i have friends that been around since 99 but i stopped being in that scene about 5 years ago, most of the dudes i heard was wack. But Skarr has been one of the most consistent for years with his material. Los-i don't like the dude personally and my man had him beat in a battle and made his ass cry.

the other thing is the game is fucked up now, so dudes dont know what their sound is to make some solid music that is actually good. it's hard to be a complete package.

I was wondering though, why do people try to get big in Baltimore? I love my city but our market is pretty skewed and fucked up when it comes to supporting hometown artists, thats why most people leave the state and become bigger. Also, do you think its a coincidence when you and your boys are talking about someone with some fame and they like "You know he's from Baltimore right?" and its like a fuckin hidden fact about the person?
