Supreme Court struck it down as a Constitutional Violation just a few minutes ago.

This has set precedent! Cities with overly aggressive or restrictive laws, like NYC, may have to rehash them because they may be taken to task for infringing or restricting on 2nd Amendment Rights.

In the meantime, get ready for D.C. to become the murder capital again. Stay the fuck out of S.E. :D Don't go to certain sections of N.E. after dark :D

In the meantime, I'm celebrating by getting that Jericho 941 I always wanted!

Heist said it...I'm co-singing....DO NOT GO TO S.E. AND ESPECIALLY BARRY FARMS. STARTING TODAY...LITERALLY.:smh:

Why do you think this will make DC any unsafer? The niggas that are out killing each other aren't affected by this. This law only allows law abiding citizens to protect themselves. The criminals don't and can't go to the store to buy one. There are already enough illegal guns on the street that criminals don't have a problem getting their hands on one.

soon as white folks move back in the city they lift it what a shock.
never made a difference to me anyway i carried heat daily
when i stayed in the city.

Man that was one factor out of many that ultimately made me leave NYC...not having the right to defend myself properly...while all the lunatics out there were armed to the teeth with no concern for gun laws...this is a great move for DC...people...ignorant people fail to realize that gun crimes are ALREADY committed by those who do not follow the law...gun bans don't make it better for criminals dumb asses it makes it better for those who follow the letter of the law to protect themselves against criminals...

i am just going tto scratch howard and geaorgetown off of the potential schools i want to attend to get my doctorate now and save myself the hassle of buying a vest

You sound dumb.

Washington's ban went into effect in early 1977, but since it started there has been only one year (1985) when its murder rate fell below what it was in 1976. Murder rates were falling before the ban and rose afterward. In the five years before the ban, the murder rate fell from 37 to 27 murders per 100,000 people. In the five years after it went into effect, the rate rose back up to 35.

D.C.'s murder rate also rose dramatically relative to other cities. In the 29 years that we have data after the ban, D. C.'s murder rate ranked first or second among the largest 50 U. S. cities for 15 years. In another four years, it ranked fourth. By contrast, in 1976, its murder rate ranked 15th.

Not only did Washington's murder rate rise much faster than other cities, it rose more quickly than neighbouring Maryland's and Virginia's or the U. S. rate as a whole.

Similarly for overall violent crime, there have only been two years after the ban when D.C.'s violent crime rate fell below the rate in 1976.

I just hope this allows for better reciprocity laws between VA and DC...I hated the fact that I had to leave my gun at home when traveling to DC...

The Jericho 941 is not fake dumbass.

You may know it over here in America by it's import marketing name - "The Baby Desert Eagle" or "Baby Eagle"

http://www.magnumresearch.com/Baby_Eagle.asp

... but it has NOTHING in common with the Desert Eagle outside of a familiar barrel shape, hexagonal rifling, and manufacturer.

It's really called the Jericho 941

the gun in the picture is fake, dont get your panties in a bunch. fall back...

Thats good fucking news!

justices voted 5-4 against the ban

That's the problem right there. Just one swing vote away from supporting this ban and who know what else may come before them.

The five republican judges against the ban the 4 liberal judges for it.

Where does Obama stand on this? What kind of judges does he plan on appointing?

This is why i wanted to know if Obama supported a gun ban or not. I'm going to be paying close attention to those debates.

If you're getting it legally, it should cost you LESS.
Illegal burners run a 30-50% premium over MSRP.

And don't forget, you can legally now buy a weapon in VA or MD and take it back to your in D.C.

 Do you know how the Supreme Court works?

Obama cannot appoint a Supreme Court judge until someone steps down or dies.

Once you are appointed, you are appointed for LIFE and you do not answer to ANYONE, not even the President.

One of the three seperations of power - Judicial, Executive, Legislative.

But if someone is appointed, I'm sure he'd make sure it was a liberal.

Good news. I still pray I never have to take a life with my gun. I'll do it if I have to, but I think it will fuck with me forever.

But I wonder when we'll start seeing those anti-Obama posts saying this court ruling was done for a purpose and at the behest of McBush. I know those are not far off.

i cant wait for one of you dumbass who support this to walk into a store and then get shot by a clerk and the clerk claim self defense

What a fukkin jerkoff...so you think the average citizen is more likely to get assaulted by a clerk who legally has the right to own versus a criminal in illegal possession of a gun...fukk ooooutta here...

Someone dies or steps down Obama can appoint another. Yes I know all that.

But if someone is appointed, I'm sure he'd make sure it was a liberal.

That's my problem, the four liberals supported this ban. If Clarence Thomas or Scalia steps down. Obama, by placing another liberal on the bench, may well keep this gun ban for decades to come.

Thank God we have the constitution. At least we'll have that to keep an all liberal Obama Supreme Court from completely taking away our guns.

Politically I'm an Independent and I support gun rights. Both Obama and McCain should say something about this decision today. I'll look out for their comments.
