Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Gee, how did I know you'd be here??

BTW-great defense at the end by those two Euro bums. So much for getting that extension, huh Sasha??:lol::lol:

Oh, and great defense by Pierce for holding the "second coming of Jordan, Shaq, Wilt, Kareem..etc." and getting back in the game..

Q3 was the key. it'll have morons scratching their heads for weeks.

he already left the podium.

flashback to 2004 again.

tobe shoots 32% while the rest of the starters shoot 57%.

but fakers fans don't have the intellect or knowledge of the game to ask "why?"

I wasn't worried either.

Those big leads almost always seem to wither away.

Btw...my boy is the finals MVP right now.

They didn't panic..I said they could steal this game. As a matter of fact, I said they WOULD win this game.

I'm waiting to hear Phil's press conference.

I agree. Allen is at the podium now.

52% FGA and 53% 3FGA to go along with 20 ppg and 5 rpg for the Finals.

Once they got over the fucked up officiating, they went small and spread the floor on offense and went back to playing man on man defense. Phil fucked up by going small and pulling Odom out of the game.

WTF!!!!!!

6-19:smh::smh:

and we hear"Where's the bench?"

They can't believe they were so wrong.

Kobe "willed his team" to a humiliating defeat.

Between the idiots on BGOL and the press.. I'm starting to believe the word is half-retarded... I've heard everyone be blamed but Kobe... it's his lack of a supporting cast????? the same supporting cast that had the lakers up by 20 and Kobe only had 3 points??? fucking unreal:lol:

May I ask a question: When did Mark Jackson and Wobe get married?
I haven't watched a lot of games with Mark Jackson as commentator, but man his unconditional Hobe love these past 4 games has been terrible, I even thought about switching to the german commentary. Everytime the Lakers score a basket it's only because of Tobe according to him, he doesn't even mention other Lakers by name unless they do something bad on defense. Everytime Kobitch makes a foul and they show the replay "That clearly wasn't a foul, Kobe would never do that.", but everytime Tobe gets slightly touched "FLAGRANT 4!!!!!! THAT'S A FLAGRANT 4!!!!!!! Maybe even a 5, cause any normal player would've to end his career after such a brutal foul, but Kobe is a true warrior, he'll continue, but that other player should be banned for life.", it's horrible.
I think he hopes that Phil will retire and then Hobe will appoint him as the next Lakers coach.
Anyway, GO CELTICS! :)

That officiating was totally fucked up.

What I am most impressed by was Dac Rivers calm. He never complained, he just said "Keep Playing". He let them know they were responsible for their situation.

Phil has become pussy whipped by Jeanie. He never calls Kobe out (I guess for fear he wont shoot). Kobe fucked this game up. It's obvious. He makes snide remarks (Phil: Kobe didn't get a FG in the first half so you know he had to shoot in the second) yet never in the press. Then Phil calls out Odom who really isn't built to take that kind of shit.

Odom was here in Miami and played his ass off with Wade.Couple that with the stats and it's obvious he isn't the problem.

I almost quit watching then, for some reason, I knew the Celts would win. They kept cutting the lead.

The one things I look at is how a team handles winning. If a team starts with the chest bumping, high fiving, and celebration at halftime, you know they are mentally weak.

Kobe has played his final card.

Funny shit right there.

Gasol and Odom combine for 36 pts and 20 rebounds shooting 14-24 and Wobe is the one that needs help?

:smh:

It's impossible to take sports writers serious these days.

Just like some said on the main board,

The "E" stands for entertainment not expert.

They look even worse by blaming Kobe's teammates....the same teammates they said all year Kobe made better.

Mark Jackson is amazing. He sounds plain stupid.

Thank Godness for Van Gundy. He brings some sense to the booth...sometimes.

On the real.

These guys get paid to be that wrong?

We need to log off and apply.

How many of those points were second half points. Scoring really means nothing if you can't/keep producing when it is really needed

That and the (now known) crooked refs is the reason I stopped tuning in years ago. I still maintain that the bias shown by the announcers is an imposition by powers on high and not done by accident (and I ain't talkin about Kobe).

Announcers on WNBA broadcasts are just as bad. Worse even

Man, it's turning into the twilight zone for true basketball fans.

The media has already scapegoated the rest of the lakers for "not stepping up" and "not giving Wobe any help"

Today, they're scapegoating Phil Jackson, saying he can't coach

 @ the all time winningest coach percentage wise in the NBA - regular season AND playoffs and tied for all time winningest in championships and he can't coach?

Yet, Wobe receives no criticism for shooting the team out of the game in the 2nd half or getting schooled by Paul Pierce and Eddie House

Wobe = teflon :rolleyes:

How do you know that the lakers wouldn't have kept pace with their 1st half scoring if Wobe didn't come out putting up the bricks? 7 FGA by Wobe out of the team's total 18 FGA for the qt?

+18 in the 1st half with 4 FGA
-24 in the 2nd half with 15 FGA

But you're right, that had absolutely nothing to do with putting the lakers out of rhythm

The main thing I dislike about Kobe is what he does to other players careers.

Shaq was a great player now he's "fat" and has no work ethic.

Odom was/is one of the best all around players yet he is a choker?

I won't even mention Smush...he is a headcase since Kobe and Phil trashed him.

But it gets worse XFactor and eewwll

now they are blaming the fans:

laker "fans" at staples center
am i the only one who ****ing hates these rich spoiled bastards with their "celebrity" status? part of the reason why the lakers played like **** was because of these bastards. they have no passion for the game when compared to other fans from other teams. what the **** do these bastards do during a laker game anyway for them to be so damn quiet? it was impossible for the lakers to feed off of their energy because they were not showing any. i think staples center need to play some fake chants/cheers on the speakers and turn it up to the max like how the bucks used to do or one of those other teams.

The 3rd quarter is when the Celtics changed up the game plan that put them behind in the 1st half, once they did that the Lakers that had done everything in the 1st half stopped producing, once that started to happen as the leader of the team of course he gonna start taking shots to try and save a quickly dindling lead. Next you gonna say Kobe was guarding all those guys that hitting those WIDE OPEN shots too. Yall Kobe haters are gettting unrealistic as hell, you're the 3rd person since last night that is saying if Kobe had sat on the bench the rest of the game that the Lakers would've won that game

from the LA Times:

"They gave the game away, but not before one of them walked away.

You know how Los Angeles fans are famously criticized for leaving games early.

Add Kobe Bryant to their list.

He walked off the court with three seconds remaining as the Lakers were bringing up the ball for a final shot.

It was a most egregious act for a most valuable player
."

heart of a champion. great competitor. plays until the clock reads :00

That got no press on ESPN

from rick fox:

June 13, 2008

I'm shell-shocked.

The Lakers learned a tough lesson Thursday night in blowing a 24-point lead with a disastrous second half to lose 97-91 to the Celtics. Twenty-four great minutes wins you a half, not a game. That's a nice cushion. But the Lakers took their foot off the pedal.

As a former player, though, I know, when you're up by over 20 points, you don't really get concerned until your lead drops into single digits. Even if the lead shrinks to nine, you tell yourself, "Well, a three would put it back to 12. The other team made a couple good shots. Nothing to worry about."

You never think you are going to lose. When you play the way the Lakers did in the first half, you are on such a high, you believe it's your night. You have already bought into the fact everything is going to go your way because you've figured out the other team.

As you build a huge lead, every open shot starts to look like a good shot to take. Doesn't matter whether there are five seconds left on the clock or 20 seconds.

And if you're going to take shots like that, you'd better make them. Because when you start missing, you give the other team hope.

The Celtics already had the lead in the series coming into Thursday's game. They were on the road. They were coming off the worst half they could possibly have had, so what was left for them? All they could do was take the jump shots the Lakers were leaving them.

When those jump shots started going down in the second half, the Celtics became animated after being emotionless in the first half, their defense became energized and, suddenly, they were a completely different team, feeding off the developing frenzy.

Surprises on the scoring sheet: For the Celtics, James Posey hit five for 10 from the field and scored 18 points. Eddie House hit four of nine and scored 11.

With their perimeter shooting, they created the spacing that pulled the Lakers' defense out and opened up the lanes, enabling Kevin Garnett to work in the post and Ray Allen to walk down the lane unimpeded for the final critical layup.

For the Lakers, too many of their shot attempts were jump shots.

Three things the Lakers must do in Game 5:

1. Go back to basics. Go back to proper spacing and ball movement. And do it for more than 24 minutes.

2. Remember that, regardless of the score, there should not be a moment of comfort in playoff basketball.

3. Forget about bouncing back emotionally. If the Lakers feel their emotions are that fragile, then they have already lost this series.

Wobe = teflon :rolleyes:

It's incredible. I wonder if anyone has actually paid attention to Kobe's NBA FINAL's stats. (ppg, shooting percentage, etc). Spiritual porn posted them... abysmal numbers... truly horrific for a player who gets so much credit as being a great clutch player.
