nah...we got practice ill b ready late tomorrow..i got some adjustments to go over with the squad..plus im gettin shyt ready for the next league and my damn laptop keeps crashing so today not a good day
In addition I have to give the team a day off for good play
cool, so for next season are we keeping the same teams?

i would like to do a draft but ninjaz cant comprehend to well around here...its the summer league we are doing team selections by games played and

I have NEVER heard of this skipping cut scenes bullshit before this league. You are going entirely too far to cater to some of these dudes.
If you want to make an adjustment all you have to do is hit pause or use the D pad during gameplay.
Theres a reason only 1 person has to hit A to skip the cut scene, its really not that relevant.

I understand all that but this isnt day care. We arnt supposed to be nurturing these dudes, we are supposed to be molding them into good players. The reason they are losing is because they refuse to think differently and change. That dont hit A shit would not fly anywhere else.
Instead of forcing these dudes to learn how to use pause or dpad like the more experienced players we are leaving them on the same level they came in at.
Hey Sid do you really want someone in your league that would quit over a cut scene? This dude is losing and its frustrating him, instead of toughing it out he uses the cut scene thing as an excuse.

After during research it is the cats thats losing but these are the same cats that got there ass whooped more then once and played more then 20 games in the bottom of the standings...That should tell you they are trying and not really bytching...
During timeouts it should b no problem to wait for them to finish up what they got to do...
Also theres a sound that is heard thru the game when the opponent hits the B button A button brings on the horn which is the sound of the game back in play...But the b button is a idle button that brings in your players and gives the other team time to set up and once he hits B button...Then the buzzer or horn is blown to start play again...

personally i manage my line ups with the D pad when i bring the ball up, or the moment IO hear the whistle blow im changing my line ups.
Its a good idea to invest some time in the league line up settings screen and set your packages, starts, bench, 3 point, ect ect
all u gotta do is 3 button strokes and u can swap ur entire squad.

I'm not worrying about the losing; thats part of the game. Last time i checked nobody here's undefeated. If i wanted to quit i wouldn't respond to people ranting like you.

It makes you better because you learn to make quick adjustments on the fly with the dpad, you get to study your teams strengths if you pause and cycle through the substitution screen, or you learn to manage your lineups in advance so you can hit the left or right button and have an entire different lineup immediately.
You do want to quit thats why you were whining threatening to leave. A lot of people have gripes about the league but Sid is doing his best to work the bugs out. How many people have threatened to quit?
well the ones that have their gone...alot of cats just couldnt keep up with how advanced the league is with the settings, and probably just wasnt ready for to level of competition...spurs, jazz, bobcats, etc etc...i got a list of cats that quit trust me i got a list...just bear with the timeout thing thats it nothing else man...if he throws the ball out of bounds skip the cut scene, if goes backcourt skip the cut scene so on and so forth

I'm down for the next season, I haven't been on since I'm not in the playoffs, and I'm still trying to get used to the game again, especially online. I'll be checking back in here and there, but just so you know I'm down to play again - just want to make sure it's clear for when it's time for me to pick a team.
A couple things I have with the game - I took over a team I don't know that well, and it's difficult for me to get my line up straight - I try to do it while I'm bringing the ball up, but it can be tough if you face full court pressure EVERY PLAY of the game.
I can understand the shit about skipping through time outs, I played a game with Fifteenth that was just custom, and I accidentally skipped the halftime shit, and I felt terrible about it.
I try to give my opponent time when I take timeouts, so I wouldn't like it if I didn't get time back. At least 15 seconds.
One other thing. This isn't really bitching, but is there a policy on time outs? I don't think it's fair if a guy DOESN'T call time outs during a game, you end up losing them anyways by the start of the third quarter. I understand you may have a deep team, and are trying to make me run my guys down, but that's not good sportsmanship, it's a tricky strategy.
Even in the NBA, where the pros play for real, there is a time out structure. The home team (if i recall correctly) has to call a time out by the 5:59 mark of the first quarter if no team has taken a timeout and the away team by the 2:59 mark if the home team has taken a time out.
That way games can stay a little more competitive.
I'm gonna hold up my end and start trying to get better again, I used to be real good back in the day on 2k6, but the online game is a completely different type of game than playing people in person.

no, just extend them what ever time they need as long as they are pausing the game for a legit reason.

u go on a run, and they pause the game just to stall your momentum, just to be an ass, then dont extend them any extra time.
You gotta understand people like crazyace have a shitload of time on there hands while a person like myself can maybe be on 2-3 hours a day (i'm stretching it)

Hey commish me and Chicago cant finish our games for some reason. We managed to knock out the first one but couldnt get past the second quarter since. We had about 8 disconnects I lead during every one of them. We just played a game and I managed to lead by over 20 in the second qtr before the game cut off. Thats 2 out of 3 for me can you push me ahead so I wont have to play this guy 8 more times?

I am grateful Syd started this league. I think he is a good commish because he has listened to all the owners and promoted fair play. I am not a great player which is stating the obvious but I show up for every game. I have improved in some areas but still have a long way to go. There are some teams who have shared the knowledge they have with the lower teams and there are those who have not. They are under no obligation to do so but if they are not interested in building up the league that syd established then go start your own league. It's bush to talk shit to inexperienced players when you have 300 games under your belt.

there is no team here that is necessary first off. Yeah docking a game could be seen as extreme but how else would you get penalized if you break league rules? suspend a player or allow no trades or boot them out of the league? I think we are all different some like trash talk and bickering others don't . Who is to say that if this league showed greater sportsmanship we would not have lost teams. If we change the settings every time a bad player complains nothing will change. Those bad players will continue to lose and eventually leave early anyway. Meanwhile the dudes that are in this for the long haul will be left with Micky Mouse settings and pointless rules.

What settings are there to change anyways? The only thing that pisses me off is that guys will miss wide open layups - once i had a fast break and deron williams blew the layup. A couple times I had him get to the rim and fuck up - we know Deron can finish, and he can ball.
Also what pisses me off, is how someone can double the post player with a pg, and still make it back out in time to guard my PG after I kick it out. Those are things that are gameplay. No fixing will help that. Also lag is an issue, but that cannot be avoided.

You never listen we all know that. Nothing you say is usually valid as far as promoting or improving the league. As for pissing everyone off BMG misinterpreted what I was saying about him. I don't even have anything bad to say about you but the fact remains we have lost teams. I know for a fact that this thread is read my more than just us. We can't even finish the playoffs what does that tell you.
Perhaps the best thing to do is start my own league and recruit from the people I Know here who want to play. I will continue to play in syd's league as well.there are sliders that can be used to make the game more realistic. I posted some settings way back in this thread.
