If a gunman was attacking from this angle it looks like #4 is the only one that would survive and respond to the first shots. #7, #8, #9 can respond as well because they are guarded by the car in a way. I'm pretty sure they had the foresight to post flanking positions as well as employ that van in the background but a good sniper would only need one shot through the tinted glass - the rest is gravy.

You're misinformed. You must not see high value political figures very often.
I live here in DC and see the President's detail and car pool all the time.
They sandwich the Pres limo between black Suburbans, SS leaning 1/4 the way out the window with thick body armor and MP5 and M4 Carbines muzzles out the window.

The Bobby Kennedy quote was take so far out of context, it's disgusting. She was simply remarking the fact that he was still polling in June before he was assinated.
The media and Obama's camp spun that into her making a DEATH THREAT at Obama, which clearly wasn't the case. Using Kennedy's death as a cheap shot was a bad look for Obama to me - and I like dude.

i remember when this happened. this is a seal that was protecting a govt meeting in Afghanistan and was shot in the head a split second before a bomb was detonated. he got up, tied his shirt around his head and ran after them.
