Imo They Need A Good Pg More Than A Player That's A Pf In A Sf Body.so I Think And Hope That It's Rose
Beasley seems to be a similar player to Shawn Marion. They should take Rose and run an uptempo offense to take advantage of athletes like Rose,Wade,Marion,Dorrell Wright, and Daequan Cook.
i dont know about that comparison of Beasley and Marion. Beasley is the better offensive player while Marion is a great defender...
if i were Miami, id take Rose, but they definetely need a good Center as well...

Agreed.. different style players. Beasley is more skilled on O than Marion is as a college freshman. Marion the much better defender at this point in time.

After landing the second overall pick in June's NBA Draft, Heat coach Pat Riley is reportedly thinking about trading the selection, according to The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"Unless there's somebody like LeBron James or a [Kevin] Garnett, somebody you absolutely know is a superstar, then the second-most important thing to have is leverage," Riley said. "We feel we have a lot of leverage with the pick."
Miami had the best chance to land the first overall pick on Tuesday night at the NBA Draft Lottery, but was leapfrogged by Chicago, who had just a 1.7% chance of getting the top pick.
"Take a look at what Boston did last year," Riley said about the trade of its fifth overall pick for Garnett. "I'm talking hypotheticals. I just want people to know, especially our fans, that we're going to do our best to select a player or leverage that pick to get the best player for the team."

After landing the thirteenth overall pick, Kevin Pritchard has not changed his outlook on how the Blazers will approach the draft process, according to HoopsWorld.
"We were happy to get lucky last year, but we're going to have to work hard, make some good moves to take this team to the next level. I do like this draft at 13. I think there really good players – some maybe a little further for making an impact – but I do believe there are some solid players at 13," Pritchard said.
He's open to negotiating trades for their selection.
"We're going to explore all of those options. We'll explore trading it (the 13th pick) and see what it brings - evaluate that instead of the actual pick itself - so we are going to look at every option we possibly can," Pritchard explained.
"I'm going to have some discussions with a few NBA people," said Pritchard who believes the interest in the 13th selection falls into two camps.
"It depends on how many teams around the league are truly trying to get young and get better with their youth and go with the youth movement. If there are more of those teams, competition heats up for the 13th pick. If there isn't that many, and teams still think they can be in the championship hunt with what we have, then it's not as much competition."
"But right now I feel it has good value. People know at 13, there's going to be a good player," he added.

The Sonics dropped down to the fourth pick on Tuesday night, despite having a legitimate shot at landing one of the top two picks, and could be looking to deal the selection, according to The Seattle Times.
"Everybody goes into the lottery with hopes of getting the No. 1 pick, but we're excited to have the fourth pick because we feel like we can get a quality player there," general manager Sam Presti said. "We'll get someone that can help and continue to build on the foundation that we have in place."
Presti admitted that the team is willing to discuss trades for the pick, although they still feel as though they can grab a top-tier player.

Fellas at the job say take Rose. I'm not hating on Rose...my vote is if you are going to make MAJOR changes to the team...take the most DOMINANT PLAYER....which is BEASLEY. Kirk Hinrich is not a BAD PG....He just suffers when Ben Gordon is in the game and the backcourt is 5ft tall. They have Larry Hughes now...who is a bigger guard. so a backcourt of Hughes and Hinrich would work better. Have Gordon come off the bench and energize the second unit.

You package any combination of Gooden, Tyrus Thomas, Noccioni... as trade bait to pick up another decent player. Also sign a free agent center in the off-season.
