Man I'm so fucking tired of turning on the news every morning only to hear someone got shot last night. Wives killing husbands, cops getting merced, kids accidentally shooting their friends, fathers killing other fathers' sons to protect their own, drug dealers shooting at rivals with bullets going through windows walls and floors. And those are just the ones we hear about!

And now there's a gun company painting guns candy colored to make them look like toys just to get back at Mayor Bloomberg (NYC) simply because they don't like his tough stance on gun companies selling hand guns that end up as murder weapons in NYC!

These fucking dealers make a good size chunk of their profit on illegal gun sales. The logic is simple. They're in business not to be a pillar of the community, not to do charity work, not to help out the homeless, not to beautify the neighborhood...their in the business TO MAKE MONEY! Think on it...they run a business so dealers have to make a profit to stay in business. They have rent and utilities and taxes to pay for their store, money to pay any employees, car notes, gas to buy, mortgages, food, clothes, college educations for their kids, etc. Sure they sell rifles, shot guns, ammo, safety equipment, maintenance kits, specialty equipment, pamphlets and other gun related material. But they probably couldn't stay in business if they didn't sell hand guns on the side tip. THESE MOFOS ARE DEATH MERCHANTS!! They don't give a damn about who they sell hand guns to. Ban hand guns! Or only allow special, heavy regulated merchants with government clearance to sell them! There's too COT damn many irresponsible gun merchants selling guns to anyone who walks through their door damn near.

DAMN! While I was writing this Eyewitness News just reported that a cop in Norwalk Conn was shot and killed around 3AM this morning! BAN HAND GUNS! They kill mainly Blacks and minorities and mostly innocents. Ban those instruments of death that bring misery to so many families in NY and LA and Boston and Chicago and Dallas and Atlanta and NOLA and Gary and a hundred other places! BAN HAND GUNS!

i feel you but unfortunately banning guns isn't the problem. you figure way more than half the people commiting these crimes aren't using registered guns, they r dirty.

I don't own a gun. The Wife and I made a decision to either have a gun or a son, we chose son. But I do support law abiding citizens have the right to own a firearm. But I also believe that guns need to be more strictly regulated. There are more rules to owning a car than a gun. The same way you have to register and insure your car and take tests to before you get a license, you should have to do all that and more to own a gun.

A woman's POV is always a valued piece of information. And I fully agree, but back in the 60s and 70s the flow of guns was restricted because there wasn't nearly as many gun dealers. The availability of guns weren't as available because the flow of drugs wasn't as thick, nor was the life of drug dealers as glorified. It wasn't until crack exploded in the cities that gun violence increased to the number of random victims we see today. Back then we NEVER saw on the News and in the papers EVERY DAY that 5-10-15 SEPARATE incidents of gun violence happened and back then when we did hear of an incident it usually involved law enforcement or some white guy shooting his wife and it made major headlines because of the rarity. Now it's no big deal when a cop or a citizen is shot because it happens a thousand times a day across the country...all due to the easy availability of hand guns.

I've grown up in Bed Stuy and Brownsville. Lived in those nabes for more than 30 years. Twice a gun was pulled on me and both times I knew the person. The 1st time at 17 I was in a pool room and I was shot because I was between the bullet and the intended target. The 2nd time was a couple years later. One my friends I grew up with (our picture as brand new babies was taken as we lay side by side on his mother's bed. Our families were real close) got caught up in drugs. His own father banned him from the family owned grocery store for stealing to support his habit. This guy...this friend, set me up to steal my $300 boombox so he could buy drugs. I say that to say this...I've never carried a gun, a knife, any kind of weapon when I walked thru neighborhoods all over this city because I know how to carry myself. It's a state of mind when you know who you are as a person. It gives off vibes to those around you who might have bad intentions. The vide tells them "Don't fuck with that man." It's not about walking tough or looking hard or showing your ass. It's about handling your business and leaving their business to them. And you might think it's bullshit but I believe it because it works.

16 years ago I moved to Canarsie. Beautiful, peaceful, safe...wonderful. Now I'm hearing gunshots at 10-11 at night, 2-3 in the morning when the only sounds 16 years ago at night was the commercial garbage trucks. Violence has permeated this once blissful neighborhood because of the easy availability of guns and the drug culture that has made it profitable for those damn gun dealers out of state tol sell them. Hand guns should be restricted to the home...not available for shootouts at Nostrand and Flatbush.

And to answer your question...YES! I wish the 2nd Amendment could be ripped from the Constitution cause we don't need hand guns to live. The US is the only major western power that allows its citizens to own hand guns. And it's the most violent, bloodiest "first world" country on the planet
