Briggs needs to leave Chi-Town, they're not doing shit to fix their offensive woes. Bringing back Rex only proves their commitment to mediocre play. Briggs can make a statement in New Orleans, a team that will put up points and has a not so bad front four...

So...... play GM for me. if you were Chicago what would you have done?

As far as N.O. them cats just cant beat the bears...... Briggs to Saints wouldn't be a good move for him. He will stay in chicago or go to another tampa two system if he wants to do well. Why would he go to N.O. when he knows the bears will just beat them anyway? ........again

Bernard Berrian signs with the Vikings.

Not sure if this was mentioned but Jags' Marcus Stroud (DL) is going to the Bills in exchange for 3rd and 5th round picks.

I hate the Pats.

Donte was garbage for them anyway. He could never break away from one on ones. His route running skills suck. He cant get open when you need him. Something must be wrong with a dude who has been cut by THREE teams already in his career.

Co-sign. Chicago needs a new QB like this nation needs a new president. Why do I feel like I'm one of the only people who sees that Rex Grossman is a bum, an absolute bum.:smh:

Who actually thinks Grossman is worth a quarters pay besides The Bears owner and Lovie?!?!?!! I don't know anyone who doesn't think he's a bum.

very true....

but cutting him brings alot of pressure to WELKER that benefited from STALLWORTH, MOSS team...that allowed him to run shorter routes and grab all those balls last year....

if PATS don't sign MOSS its curtains for them.....

they won't even come close to what they did this year....

PATS & BEARS :smh: when it comes to re-signing stars...

FUCK THE PATS ANYWAY....

The Browns don't need Stallworth to be a No. 1 receiver or a "go-to" guy... we just need a solid veteran with some hands and some speed to line up with Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow... we're about to spread the field like never before...

The Browns in '08!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I guess Briggs will have something to prove. Briggs is an upgrade over their regular LBs. If they get Briggs. thier LBS would be Fujita, Vilma, and Briggs. now the need to sign or draft a DE or CB.
Saints might be a team to watch next season.

i hope my squad "eagles" make a run at a wide reciever, im glad with the move they did with asante samuel, but on the flip side they talking about getting rid of lito sheppard in a trade, if anything we need to get rid of slow ass sheldon brown, and keep lito, eagles shoulda also got ride of punk ass lj smith, and signed someone else in the FA, Rumors is eagles supposed to make a run at javon walker

Exactly. Last year they were all predicting that the #1 offense in the Saints would just hand the Bears they asses to them. What happened? This year it was all the Bears ain't shit this year. The Saints will have no problem beating them. What happened?

Bears offered Briggs 4 years 24 million, 12 million guranteed contract. Saints offer 5 years 40 million, 20 million guaranteed contract. Whats a man to do?

Broncos signed Keary Colbert to a three-year, $7.2 million contract, including a $2.5 million signing bonus.

Jason Taylor and the Dolphins have "decided to part ways" this offseason.

Falcons agreed to terms with defensive back Von Hutchins.

Saints re-signed RB Aaron Stecker to a one-year, $1.4 million contract.

The Saints re-signed WR Devery Henderson to a one-year, $2 million contract.

Jets have reached agreement with Alan Faneca on a five-year, $40 million contract, with $21 million guaranteed.

The Vikings signed Bernard Berrian to a six-year, $42 million contract, with a $16 million signing bonus. He'll get $23 million in the first three years.

Browns agreed to terms with Donte' Stallworth on a seven-year, $35 million contract, with $10 million guaranteed and $17 million in the first four years.

He best take that money in N.O. for all the shit talking he did about the Bears organization. We're talking individual contracts and players getting paid, not is the team I'm going to beat the other in 1 or 2 games. Both teams end the season @ 7-9 :hmm: .
If New Orleans can get a secondary worth a damn they'll be ok, Vilma's going there and they've got a decent front four... The Bears need an overhaul: Need Offensive linemen, A RB, Benson's soft! QB, we all know (Holla @ Daunte Culpepper) Have him groom Kyle Orton. Rex can bring in the water bottles  WHERE ARE THEIR RECEIVERS FOR NEXT YEAR :smh::smh::smh::confused::confused:

Thats why they can't match the Saints offer because they still have to replace their starting wideouts and they don't have a glutton of cap room.

Saints cut LB Brian Simmons. He may retire, he hasn't been the same since he played for the Seahawks. Plus Vilma gets his number 51. He was also scheduled to earn 3.5 million this year, and another thing this does is make room for Briggs.

aaron Brooks looksgood in a Bears uniform right now.....

The NFL blacklisted that dude because of what he said and did quitting on the Saints during the Katrina year. Only way I see him in a uniform is in Canada. Carolina had Vinny Testaverde in there before Brooks so you know he aint seeing that field.

What did Aaron Brooks say during Katrina Jedi??? I know that he gave up when he was out with the Raiders, but he was getting killed @ the hands of HGH Merriman...

From The New York Times Article Last Year After Testeverde Signed With The Panthers:

"He got himself in hot water by complaining that the N.F.L. and the Saints’ owner had been lax in helping the team cope with a horrendous natural disaster."

Basically he pulled one of those, us professional athletes with millions of dollars are suffering too. He was responding to the facilities that the team was forced to work in practicing in parking lots, weight room in stadium alleys and living in subpar hotels (like not 5 star). Only team that took him after that was the black sheep of the league the Raiders, where players go when no one wants you.

Tis official... Lance Briggs will stay with the Chicago Bears for a six-year, $36 million contract. The Bears added a year and 12 million more to the original deal, but it will still be less guranteed money than what the Saints offered him.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm thrilled at all the moves my team made during this year's free agency period.

JAGZ4LIFE BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tony I'm ecstatic! The Jets are really doing the damn thing. Getting OLine help, DLine help! and we're in a good position in the draft. We might even work up a trade from Robertson... How are the Jags going to be without Stroud though???

Briggs just signed with the Bears 6 yrs 36 million

Fuck

From NOLA.com:

With Briggs resigning with the Bears expect them to go hard after Landon Johnson, LB from the Cincinnati Bengals, Demorrio Williams from the Falcons, or Boss Bailey from the Lions. Johnson was their best defender last year and is a free agent and the Saints are trying to replace their WLB Scott Shanle or at least create some competition.

Randy Moss is leaving New England. They are not giving him the money he wants and Philadelphia, Denver, Washington, and possibly Green Bay (only because he kinda shit on them in a Super Bowl interview saying that it was Brett and Donald's (Driver) team) are the teams that would love to sign him. Philly and Denver have the cap room, but Washington is still actually over the cap by about 2 million dollars.

Gotta love Phil Savage shoring up the Browns D-line,along with the Donte Stallworth pickup. Now all he has to do is find a real inside LB and pick up Shane Olivea for the O-line and we're straight.
