The Greatest Show on Earth! Man with $6 million home theatre

i'm sure the performance is outstanding, but the design is poor.

his money would've been better spent improving the architecture, materials and viewing stage. or rather, he should've invested a larger portion on theater design and acoustics.

Indeed. A lot of that stuff is just overkill.

He spent 6 million on his setup and his wife looks like a fucking dog. I swear he should of atleast taken 1k off the setup and got a nice bitch from LAtin Euro.

Excellent design for one aware of change, progression and innovation in the field.

ALL the components are easily accessible, which is necessary for changing, repairing and explaining the system to someone with enough grip to buy the system, etc.

Most ninjas with a simple flat screen have to dismount the whole damn thing just to get to a certain input.

And for all those talking about a couch that only seats three.....:lol::lol::lol:....what? You mad cause now you know he ain't inviting you over.

Everyone doesn't have their posse running through the house all day and night. Sheeeeeiiiiit, only seats three. If that shit was in my house, seating three would SEAT ONE TOO MANY.

He's a fuckin self proclaimed couch potatoe. He prob. gonna die of a heart attack fack bastid.

And did he say his HD and bluray arent compatable with his system?! WTF:lol:
I like that scale model Nemo ship he got but that system is bit much

a viewing room that only comfortably seats 3? a cluttered look where the hardware completely dominates the room?

i wonder what his cooling arrangement is, and what measures he took to address the ambient noise from his projector and components. could that explain his strange speaker placement?

STOP HATING!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:... "TYPICAL BGOL RESPONSE" .LOL

And U niggas thought yall was ballin.

Whenever I see these systems I wonder, where are the fuckin wires?

there has to be a way to improve the aesthetics... some kind of wall or mesh. it definitely needs a redesign.

Maybe it wasn't meant for the average person, but I like this setup below alot better.

This was posted a while back on the board. When I run into some more money, my basement will look like this one day:

I dont know about all of that but, this is much more practicle. :smh::cool::smh:

I'm a straight audio/videophile and It's obvious that ole boy got ends. We don't know how his crib looks or he may already have multiple homes, but for 6mil the equipment Is nice but the design Is horrible

 @ people commenting on the design. its obvious this serves two purposes.

1. easy access.

2. quick reference to potential buyers.

remember he is trying to sell this idea and hook up not live in this space.

PEOPLE THIS IS NOT HIS LIVING ROOM. THIS IS HIS LABORATORY WHERE HE IS DESIGNING/CREATING A HIGH END EXPERIENCE FOR PROFIT.

lmfao at people commenting on 1 couch or his coffee table .... :smh::smh::smh::smh:

some people have no vision

This guy is one of those people. Who the fuck is gonna spend all that money on a system when they can get a comparable one for 1/20th the cost. What the fuck could you possibly be watching that would even tap into this things full potential? This fat fuck is not being at all realistic when considering practical home theater VIEWING. This is like the guys that put speakers over every inch of the car. It's got 'WOW' factor that you could do it but only the people installing systems for shows/competitions will have any interest in owning some hellacious shit like that. He'll never recover the capital he invested in this shit, and I do mean SHIT!:smh:

yall looking at it wrong. yall either only read the title and looked at the pics or only skimmed through the article.

i read the article correctly.

i know this industry VERY well. i have seen better DESIGN (not necessarily performance) live in person as well as in trade journals.

the space itself is not accomodating to the purpose for which it was built: entertainment.

viewing? YES. listening? POSSIBLY.

i'll take his word for it that the performance is beyond OUTSTANDING. fine. but you have to understand that there are also people who take this sort of thing seriously, surpassing the equipment/hardware purchased. the amount of planning required BEFOREHAND is enormous. acoustic design of the room (shape of the walls, building materials, insulation) must be considered. functionality, integration of features, aesthetics (his setup is an eyesore), and logistics (as mentioned before, cooling and ambient sound) are all SERIOUS factors that could have been paid more attention.

again some people dont read.. he could give a fuck about us the practical common person

he talking about people with real money....

With a bit of luck, Kipnis will get to play the KSS for the likes of George Lucas, Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, and Martin Scorsese. And who knows—they each might be so thrilled, they'll buy one on the spot. That would be great, but I wonder out loud, "Would you have done all of this if you didn't hope to turn it into a commercial enterprise? Would you have done it just for yourself?" Without hesitating, Kipnis says, "Just to see what's possible? Yes, I would."

so when you ask who would spend that type of money... they would

i see what your saying but also see it a little different in the sense that if he went say hdmi 1.3. and then tomorrow its hdmi 3.6 out.. then he's outdated and needs to replace and upgrade

as opposed to his set up which is more theater like not using hdmi and going with the 4k resolution.. making any technological advance non hindering to your set up.

We're talking amps that cost more than most economy sedans. They're excess in the realm of "I bought this just so I could I say how much I paid for it", but they're so cleeeeeean, man.

they're mcintosh amps, and they're not quite as expensive as you suggest. i own 8 of them.

a few years ago after visiting the Mcintosh suite at CES, i knew i had to have them.

funny though, when i have guests over, almost 100% of the time they laugh at the tube look because IN THEIR MIND they have grown to believe that solid state amps are better.

you must ain't got kids. and you know they all have friends.

I was talking about those 2 Levinson N° 33h's specifically. I should have been clearer.

I concur about people's opinions of tube amps though; people see tubes and go "that's ugly" or "too big" because MOSFETs have taken over, but man, a well built tube amp with good power, a good space, good drivers and overall system design, and a good signal... woooo.

My dad was into all that High end stereo shit till one of his
bitches came in and fucked all of that shit up.:smh:

I will never forget walking into the house and seeing all of his deeply cherished shit on the floor.

McIntosh stereo shit is EXPENSIVE.

An amp can run you $4000 easy

Hey Cranrab,

where the wires at? all these joints I see in these mags, etc, there are no wires. they have wireless speakers?

i was thinkin the same thing, shit is nice and all but that shit is cluttered, all of that shit or at least most of it should have been hidden, and for six mill, he could have done way better

True true. I mean, damn, that sound system would be too loud even for the biggest rock concerts, all tose speakers in that room? I wanna know how loud he turns them up.

You don't need that many wattage if it's just for a personal room.
