Man breaks his cane over police officers head during traffic stop

Fuck a cop. I hate ALL of them, including the ones in this thread. :D The so-called good ones always looking out for their never-do-well brethen. In my book, you're guilty by association. YOU swore an oath.

It took over 50 years for this shit to finally come to fruition.
Operation Tarnished Badge

This shit is going on all over America.

Ole boy fuck dat officer up! He should have though! I swear if that had have been a white person they would have gotten the wheelchair for her! Damn shame what our people have to go through with just little bullshit!!!

Small town cops = nothing better else to do.

Depending on what part of the country your in is a different way they police, however technically racial profiling is hard to prove but as black men we know wassup. I have been profiled myself when traveling out of state.

All that cracka had to do was take her license first then state way he pulled her over thats it after that its at his discretion to whether he wants to write her or not. All that other shit from him wasnt necessary however she and her husband should not have escalated the situation. Even though it was funny white boy got cracked in the dome he would have had justifiable cause in using deadly physical force. Then you meat heads would really be furios smh

I Tell people all the time DO NOT ARGUE WITH A POLICE OFFICER and I say that because 1. you dont know what type of personality you are dealing with 2. they its your word against theirs and 3. Argue WITH them in court.

3 simple rules to assure your safety and those who are with you.

I know in my department we have to log the gender and ethinicity of every traffic stop we make, it just so happens I stop more crackas then black folk because more crackas pass this side of town on their way to and from NYC, now do I tag everybody stop? no but thats just me.

I got stopped in VA last yr for doing 60 in a 55 now the trooper was a real dick he figure NY plates = drug traffiker. I was very polite through the whole process no disrespect or anything I identified myself asked if he could extend PC you know this faggot said uin VA know up north rules dont apply smh

I took my ticket and told him next time DO some real police work. Now I make it my business it if stop any Trooper from the VA state police who happen to be in the state of NY I make no exceptions they getting tagged. Fuck em. btw to that law that says you cant defend yourself even if the officer is unlawful is actually a good thing and I will tell you why. It doesnt say u cant defend yourself if the officer is off duty. However its in your best interest not to defend yourself because the department will hold the liability and with more police cars having dash cams its harder for the officer to say other wise when its on tape. This is the information and digital age and digital cops dont know who are filming them.

Operation Tarnished Badge

You mad? so I guess Obama is guilty by association for Bush's actions since he is a politican.

As a policeman, I'm always as polite and accomodating as I can be without being unsafe. A lot of things we ask or demand are for our safety and are not explained that way, so they mostly seem like bullshit (i.e. "put your cell phone away" - because of cell phone tasers, "step out of the car" - I only have to deal with one person and don't have to worry about whats in your car or what you may be reaching for)

As far as the video goes, there are a number of reasons the officer should have handled the situation differently. His approach did not escalate the situation, but he did not de-escalate the situation which is the safer approach for him as well as the persons he stopped. As far as the woman goes, if her husband's care is the priority, then she shouldn't have wasted time arguing with the officer about why she was being stopped and focused on how to get him admitted. Were they both wrong? Yes. Did they both loose focus of what was most important? Yes.

And to all the police haters on the board, you have the right to feel how you feel. I'm sure some of you have been wronged by the police at some point. You have a predetermined notion and hatred for the police regardless who the officer is. If most policeman had the same predetermined notions about the public, it would be a sad state of affairs.

And as far as the bullshit traffic stops, many wanted people have been identified and arrested from traffic stops, some of which y'all call "bullshit." A traffic violation is a traffic violation whether you turn without a signal or are speeding 30 miles over the limit. Now would I write someone a ticket for turning without a signal? No. Only if the person acts an ass once I stop them. Then I have no reason to cut any slack.

I live by the motto that not everyone is a criminal or violator and I don't have to write everyone I stop a ticket. Unfortunately, most people don't understand why we do what we do most of the time. That's why I try to explain things to people and it usually eases much unneccesary tension. Is that how it happens most of the time? No. That's why I just try to keep doing my job the way I do it, and don't let the assholes I deal with ruin it for everyone else I come in contact with. I may be too idealistic, but I can just be the best person I can be. If people on both sides police/public would make an effort, a lot of bullshit would be avoided.

Good, he should have hit him 100 times, punk ass cop. It is obvious that this is bullshit. "I pulled you over for failure to signal and loud exhast"......umm let me translate....."i pulled you over for driving while black". The officer was totally out of hand for not letting the man seek medical care before issuing a VERY PETTY traffic ticket.
Yeah he could have handled the situation allot better.

The question folks have for you is it normal policy with police officers to engage in a silly pissing contests when it already appears that a more serious situation is at hand (her being at the hospital). No he shouldn't have got hit over the head, (but i can understand the frustration), but as she said was there a major crime committed as to stop her from getting the wheel chair. As a police officer explain to us the rational as to why it was necessary for your fellow brothers in blue to act as such. Not a police basher but the video illustrates what we already know which is the job seems to be nothing more of a power trip. Where i'm from the job starts at poverty wages but guess what folks still sign up. Why?? It obviously ain't about the money.

I dont know what you mean by normal policy when it is clear that officer had a legitmate reason to stop the van. Failure to signal is a violation of the VTL in all states. Having a loud muffler is noise pollution, now are those laws enforced? most of the time no. Now I feel both parties handled it wrong, but it was the officer responsibility to access the situation of the lady's emgergency to make sure they get to the hospital.

Now I cannot speak for all officers I can only explain my actions, just like in every job you have dick heads you work with and are on the job for all the wrong reasons.

How can we have a society that is governed by laws but no police to enforce those very laws? I doubt the punks in this thread want a lawless society because that means they will be directly affected by crime.

Yes you are right becoming a cop is not about the money but you can say the same for teachers as well. People have their reason why they choose a career in public safety.

Horrible misuse of authority and I would have seeked charges against the cop for harrasing a citizen and if the man's injuries would have been life threatening neglegent homicide. They gotta realize they should not abuse their power, but I don't think that will ever change.

She noted that the jury was not allowed to consider a “self-defense” defense in the resisting and obstructing charge because higher courts have held that a person may not resist police even if the officer’s actions are unlawful.

Police officers can break the law and you have to listen, even if you know they are acting unlawful! I hope the ticket doesnt stick on her, cause she didnt do anything wrong. I know a white dude that did the same thing as her; alluding the police on the way to the hospital. He just yelled out "Emergency" and the cop just left!!!:smh:

That fuckin' pig Screamed like this.....

I admit this is true, but worrying about her husband's medical condition had her in a panic and the cop should have taken that into account also. But yes she wasted more time arguing than it would have taken to hand over the license.

You have a predetermined notion and hatred for the police regardless who the officer is. If most policeman had the same predetermined notions about the public, it would be a sad state of affairs.

Most police DO HAVE those predetermined notions about the public! :hmm:

Thats why they shit on everyone who isnt a cop or a powerful public figure. They figure everyone not in blue is a degenerate moron piece of shit till proven otherwise. 90% of all cops think in a clear us-vs-them mentality which is fuckin bullshit...

HATE that shit. Power trippin homos. :hmm:

And as far as the bullshit traffic stops, many wanted people have been identified and arrested from traffic stops, some of which y'all call "bullshit."

Why do police argue this bullshit? If we have to live by the rules, so do yall. You cant just make up reasons to stop mufuckas all the time and after ruining 20 people's day, you say "hey! we caught a gang member wanted for attempted murder and aggravated battery on the 21st bullshit stop so that justifies everything!"

Do some REAL police work mufuckas DAMN. :hmm:

Pulling someone over for a traffic violation is not "making up a reason". It either a traffic violation or it isn't. I don't pull someone over unless we both know you did it. Otherwise, it just leads to an argument which isn't worth it.

And what is REAL police work? Not everyone does the same thing. My assignment is traffic. What do you think it is I'm supposed to do? Do you mean put murderers and rapists is jail? Just don't pull them over for an expired inspection sticker though, I guess.

Fortunately I work for a department that frowns upon belittling people, profiling, and what you may call a bullshit traffic stop. We have a good rapport with most of the community, except those who just don't like the police period. Not everyone has that luxury.

You mad? so I guess Obama is guilty by association for Bush's actions since he is a politican.

Not a Obama supporter.

Oh yeah, FUCK YOU TOO!
I've been rolling with this since last year.

Many people may not know this but a jury can consider whatever they want even if it's against the wishes of the judge.

Wikipedia:

Jury nullification - refers to a rendering of a verdict by a trial jury, disagreeing with the instructions by the judge concerning what the law is, or whether such law is applicable to the case, taking into account all of the evidence presented.

When keeping it real goes wrong!
Not a cop lover my self, but they played themselves!
I know it was an emotional charged situation, but you got to learn how to use your head! When the cop asked for her papers, which he has the right to do, she should have gave it to him, while explaining the medical situation of her husband.
The amount of time talking she could have handed the papers ten times over!
Now if you are thinking that the cop should have allowed her to get a wheel chair, remember there was only one cop, and if he allowed it to happen, he would have had to allow either the driver or the passenger to remain unsupervised! Imagine if she was a serial killer and he allowed her to go for a wheelchair and she up-ed and ran away, try explaining that shit to your boss!
In the end what was accomplished? They both got arrested and yes the charges will stick, and he was not immediately seen by a physician!

Fukk that, the stop was BULLSHIT. We all know it. If the citizen had been white they would have got a pass, and for STATESIDE, Louisiana cops are some of the worst. I got a ticket for loud music when in a club parking(Shreveport) lot when i saw police ahead and made sure to make sure my stuff was correct. At the same time, any black folks that drove by he told them to pull over and wait. Now a white kid drives by in a pickup truck, neon light, stereo banging full force, and the cop turns around looking irritated but when he saw who was driving, he did nothing.....so i ask him why he let him go and he claims.....ill get him later.....not pull over and wait......of course the kid left the scene:hmm:

We all know that black people get profiled all the damn time for no reason or for the pettiest shit ever, and cops clearly abuse their power ALL THE TIME. I can't count how many times i have been stopped and asked to search my vehicle only for nothing. Funny thing is when i was living in FLorida, taking a community college ethics class, all the white people in the class thought that profiling was not real and we make it up, except the teacher of course. The absolute funniest thing though was that we had a cop come visit the class and the average demographic for finding drugs on police stops was..........you ready..........WHITE WOMEN BETWEEN 19-26 OR AROUND THAT AGE.

Now, I ask again, why am I being profiled all the time when the data suggest that I am not the likely target.:hmm: I don't have a problem with cops that enforce petty laws, but i do have a problem with those laws only being enforced on minorities. Shit, profiling is so easy to spot....i used to have 2 whips....a mustang cobra convertible and a 67 Delta 88 with spoke wheels. I stayed getting pulled over in the Delta, but hardly ever got pulled over in the stang with tint....but how many brothas drive mustang cobra convertibles versus how many roll deltas:hmm:

Dude, how many times in the course of a day do people change lanes without signaling? Hundreds? Thousands?

You dont think there is selective enforcement (profiling) going on?

The fuck ever happened to EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW.

Stop talkin that cop-speak and just admit that the cop picked one person out of dozens on the road, followed them all the way to the entrance of the hospital! for a bullshit reason and then let the situation get out of hand over wanting his AUTHORITYE!!! to rule the day, fuck the context. :hmm:

This is why fools dont like the police. Yall always trying to cover for, justify and explain away your fellow LEOs' obvious abuses of authority / ego-driven decisionmaking. Then it becomes "well I'M not like that" but on the other hand, defending those who ARE. :hmm:

News flash, that was neither the place nor the forum for her, 'the driver' to put up an argument. Part of being smart is knowing when and were to fight your battles!
Was the cop right for making the stop? Neither you or I know, regardless of our past history with cops. What you fail to fully understand, is that cops aren't payed to be right all the time, however, they are fully expected to hold up the law and we are expected to obey a direct command from the cops, with in our rights of course!
Now if they are wrong, and often they are, we have court systems to deal with them.
We got to understand, what little rights we do have as so called citizens become forfeited as soon as you do something as dumb as what they did!
And once you are with out any rights deep in the belly of the beast, you gonna see some racist shit that pales what this cop did on the video 100xs, and that may friend wont make it on you-tubes!

EXACTLY, and as i asked earlier, what was ONE good reason that he should have held them up for a traffic stop when they were pulling up in the emergency room drop off. I mean a traffic stop could be 10-15 minutes, BUT they should wait, cause giving them a stupid ass petty traffic ticket is more important that securing medical care first.

I guess ambulances should be stopped also since they break traffic laws when rushing people to the hospital.....oh yeah, fukk your house being on fire, the firemen should take their time and obey all traffic laws.:hmm:

So they should have waited for him to take his time and look all their info up and take the 10-15 minutes while someone is in need of care:hmm: I am totally for being respectful when you are just driving and get pulled over, but this was an emergency and that cop was on some bullshit. We all know that the only reason he pulled her over was cause she was black. She even said he followed her for awhile. It wasn't like he got on her as soon as she did something wrong. HE followed her trying to catch her doing something wrong. FUKK HIM. I wish they would have hit him 2000 times:dance:

Again you are missing the point, it is legal for a cop to pull you over after failing to stop at traffic stop, and it is there judgment, not yours, to say if you did it or not. I'm not saying that they did or didn't stop. I'm saying that you argue that shit out in court, and chances are the ticket would be dropped!
But no, by disobeying a directive, she was subjected to a whole lot of other bullshit!
They went to jail, not for the ticket, but for assaulting a officer, resisting arrest, and failing to comply to the command of an officer! Unless you can point out something illegal that the cops did, your ass will be going down!
Rule number 1, know the law, before thinking about confronting a cop!

Police officer could have called for back up to get the man his wheel chair. He could have said "ma'am please calm down, don't move, I will get some one to escort your husband while we figure out the situation"

His persistence of trying to issue a ticket during a potential emergency situation was wrong on his part. He escalated a situation and made it worse by being unprofessional.

Where is protect and serve during that whole video? Even if it the situation was a crock of shit, the officer could have found out and issued the ticket

Police officers are trained to treat everybody like a fucking criminal and THAT IS WRONG. Behaving in that manner hasn't saved lives. You can be polite and honorable and still have proper decision making skills to protect yourself.

He could have but didn't have too.
These are valid points she should have brought up in court while fighting her ticket!
To be honest, 9 times out of 10 if the man was really sick, the cop would have dropped the ticket after seeing her ID.
Who are you as a citizen, given the right to question what the cop would, should and may have done?

LMBAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

THE VID IS DOWN, I GOTTA SEE THAT!!
The story alone is funny! Beat that sucker over the head so hard the cane broke!!

aniLaughingSmiley.gif

Did the officer use his best judgement, no. But that did not warrant someone taking a object and striking him over the head. The officer was not harming his wife in any way. Plus, like the officer said, if it was so bad, why didn't she dial 911. It's easy to sit back and talk about what he should have done, but, they are out there every day risking their lives, and most of them get killed giving someone a ticket, so yes, they are going to be a little bit hesitant of someones story. If she just would have calmed down and not got out so defensive and screaming. Things might have went different.

Two wrongs don't make a right. However, the cop should've been more understanding by at least escorting them in. I think she hit a nerve when she asked, what if this were your mother?

Oh Yea that cane cracked the shit out of him!:lol::lol::lol:
That shit was soooo unexpected.

I know I may come off as an Ignoramous on the board, but I don't give a fuck ...This is the net and I'm speaking my mind and have every right to not like the Punk Police!!

I drive from ATL to NY all the time and get profiled all the time. Last time I got pulled over was in NC by the K-9 unit.

I was in the 2nd lane to the left of the slow lane doin 70 in a 70. It had 2 or 3 crackers ahead of me doin at least 80.

K-9 Unit was Parallel to the freeway in the median(left) and his home boy was a lil further up near the off ramp on the shoulder (right).

After I pass they bitch ass doin the speed limit in a Cadillac SRX
5OD-4.jpg

Who do I see in the rear view Pulling off the median?? The bitch ass K-9 unit!!

The motherfucker followed me for like a mile. Rode up on the drivers side of me and I looked at his bitch ass! I couldt see him cause he was tinted up.

He got back behind me and pulled me over.

He walked up to the passenger side I rolled down the window. (I'm from NY so I know how to deal with POPO)
He said the reason I stopped you is because the tag on the vehicle wasn't coming up.
(What the fuck you running my tag for crakkka? saying this in my head):angry:

I said this is a Rental car Officer and already had my license and Rental car agreement handing it to him at the same time.

Hes leaning in the vehicle now sniffin around for weed smoke. (bitch aint no smoke smell in here) You dealing with a VET!! I don't smoke no more and If I still did I don't smoke in the whip.

He did'nt even look @ or run my L's and glanced at the rental agreement. Mean while scanning the V!

He asking me where I'm going blah blah blah! I said NY. He said oh you sound like you from thier blah blah.

I was't shaking or nervous and When he realised he had nothing on the GOD, he asked if I could open up the glove box and see if thier's a reg card in there.

I said sure and opened it up. Handed him the 3 papers in thier. The motherfucker didn't even look @ them shits.
(no contraband, blunts or money in the glove box faggot!! again saying this in my head keeping my cool)

He looks around 1 more time, peeps my suit hung up in the back and hands me my shit back and said alright you can go.

The whole time I'm peeping the oil and shit on his hands from digging in niggas cars and shit.

Not mine bitch. I'm legit!!

If he would of smelled any green or saw any money or a blunt. That would of been my ass going to jail for some minor BS and he would of ripped that car the fuck open searching for nothing!!

Fuck any Police that get down like this.

Niggas can colin me all they want, but better read and take notes.
