Ladies what are you thoughts on abortion if not married? Would you have one, are you against it? What response or reaction would you want from the guy? For those who have had one does the decision haunt you, are you emotionally scarred from it?

LS, my response is twofold, first off these type threads have been popping up only recently on BGOL. Thoughtone's assesment is correct. These lurkers have been coming out of the cracks since Obama emerged as a frontrunner for the presidency and they can't stand it.

Secondly our feelings and opinions on abortion is not the agenda of the original poster. This thread was to assess political views to determine republican strenghts among blacks, nothing else. Besides who starts a thread and never bothers to comment for over 6 hours? So yeah when I see crap like this I can wish people like this were aborted. Only 36 post since Aug 17, 2005.

I Know The Poster Asked For Ladies Opinions But I'm A Dude And I Wanted To Say Something I Don't Believe In Abortions And It Should Be Banned All Around The World.

It's cool but I do believe in a woman's right of choice. There are those who say they're against abortion yet those same people won't even donate a single dollar to charities that help struggling mother's. Just because a woman makes a mistake or is possibly raped shouldn't mean she has to live with that the rest of her life. Although the act itself does become emotional baggage that she carries the rest of her life but its not a financial burden.

I am however sick of posters such as this and yes they will bring out my dark side.

I believe that it should be the choice of the couple and not the gov't. If the couple decides that at that moment in their lives they can't take care of a child then they should have the option to abort. The gov't gets mad when families have 7 and 8 kids and ask for support but then when people try to prevent it from happenin they dont want them to

I believe it is a woman's right to choose if she wants to carry a child to term but unless her health is at risk or she was raped i know that I will not be a part of her life when she is through with it if she is in a relationship with me at that time.

Outside of that it is not my place to judge because i do not have the right to make a decision like that for anybody.

Thanks for your thoughts on this topic, just wanted to get a feel for how some others may feel on the subject because me and a friend of mine are facing a tough decision. MoBetter you can eat a dick, as the first line indicates this thread asked for ladies opinions so you shouldn't have replied in the first place I don't give a fuck what you gotta say. And I'm sorry I don't post as much as you would like me to. To be honest I'm not on here as much as I was in 05, so kick rocks.

That's something I've always found curious and hypocritical along with people who are able to but not being willing to adopt. Its not like when babies hit air they become self regulating machines :hmm:

Hope you don't mind my commenting but as a guy I believe that it's a woman's choice. I've been through it myself and I can say that it can definitely mess with your head. Not an easy decision so I wish you and your friend the best.

I do feel you on the point regarding freedom of choice. To each their own. I do NOT judge those who have made that choice to abort but its not something that I personally advocate.

Liberals (mostly pro abortion) don't give to charity as much as right wing christians. They give the most, regardless of income level. I don't know where you get the idea that they don't give to charity for these women. And even if they don't, it's ompletely irrelevant. They're against it on the grounds that they beleive it's immoral. Whether it's difficult or not is completely beside the point.

And while it's sad that a woman who is raped can become pregnant and it's horrible to have to deal with that, it has nothing to do with the child conceived. He/she did nothing wrong. The misdeeds of a parent have nothing to do with a person being allowed to live or die. Besides, most women who have abortions do so because having a baby is inconvenient. A very small percentage has them for rape or incest or any of the other reasons the abortionettes like to talk about. It's mostly used by lazy women as birth control.

If my knowledge of history is correct one of the reasons the first settlers came to this land was to get away from their oppressive government. The principle of separation of church and state led them here. IMO the principle extends into the bedrooms of all citizens. Where the hell does some (so-called) elected offical get off telling women what to do with their bodies.

The decision on Roe vs. Wade was no mistake as it was determined by the Supreme Court. But now these hand picked puppet judges of Bush junior and senior threaten to turn this country back to the 1950s when women electing to have an abortion were literally risking their lives.

The government does not belong in our homes.

I think abortion is about choice. I don't have a problem with it, however I do have a problem with girls or women who use abortion as a form of birth control. You have to learn from your mistakes. If you were reckless once and had to get an abortion, get on the pill or wrap it up, something. Eventually you'll do more harm to yourself than good if you keep resorting to abortions.

Personally, in the past I think I would have probably made the decision to get an abortion, but luckily I never had to make that decision. I think now, I'd probably not choose that option, but thats not my ideal situation.

I'm cool with that, this is about choice. I understand your feelings on the matter. All I'm saying is the choice needs to remain an option for everyone. I myself try not to judge because that type decision is a very personal one. I'm sure it's also tough decision not only the woman but her man as well.

Don't hand me that crap, having lived near two such clinics I can tell you those protesters only care about their agenda. First of all they're usually whites protesting in poor or black communities. Regardless if they're "right wing christians" or liberals it matters not. They will not directly put their monies into black communities.

If you got the guts to protest someone's decision you should also be willing to sit down and offer them an alternative and I'm not talking about counseling. You want to eliminate abortions then have some guaranteed options that will be acceptable to the mothers. Ensure them they will have a fighting chance in todays society. Guarantee them job training and affordable daycare. Give them a fighting chance. Don't say the money is not there because the government finds hundreds of billions of dollars every year to finance an unjust war in Iraq.

The abortion debate isn't about sex, it's about murder and who is protected under our laws , or who should be considered a person and by extension, protected by our laws. It has no more to do with government intrusion than tossing people in prison for beating people to death or smashing someone's face in with a baseball bat.

Look it is a simple problem to solve. Increase the cost of abortion to $50000.00 dollars from each parent for every termination where there is no evidence of rape or risk of the mother's health.

I can guarantee you then that you will see people actually making sure then that they are adequately protected before they step into the saddle to ride. :hmm:

This comment is SSOOOOOO reckless!!! It won't change anything.. it'll deter some people, but all it's going to lead to is women getting more illegal abortions, and causing more health problems. 50,000 is ridiculous, how about 1000? People do need to be held accountable for their actions.. but it is THEIR choice to abort. Think about it, without abortion so many would be so worse off, children and parents. Our can't population at the growth rate right now, imagine if abortion wasn't a viable option?

Yes it is reckless but so is having sex knowing that you can not have or deal with children should u or your partner get pregnant. It was not supposed to be a viable solution just an off the top of the head, crazy suggestion. And no i do not consider abortion to be a viable option, it was never meant to be a common contraceptive procedure. But i can only answer to my conscience not anyone else's.:smh:

Sex has gone down the path of a common greeting like just shaking hands in how lightly it is viewed these days. If you can not deal with the repercussions of your actions here is a small hint "DO NOT DO SAID ACTION"
