Storyline
"The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular superheroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk.

Trivia
- Due to the disappointing performance of Ang Lee's 2003 "Hulk", Marvel decided to start the franchise afresh with a totally new creative team and cast rather than set this up as a direct sequel.

- Despite this, the origin elements explored in 2003 will not be retreaded here with Banner already undergoing the changes from the start of the film. Scribe Zak Penn says tonally the film will be more similar to the TV series or Bruce Jones' run on the comic.

- Penn wrote three drafts, before departing in early 2007. Actor Edward Norton, who had rewritten previous films he starred in, wrote a new draft, which pleased the director and the studio in establishing the film as a reboot.

- Norton's draft added Doc Samson and made references to other Marvel characters.

- Producer Avi Arad has also said that the Hulk would be more strongly portrayed as a hero than in the previous film. Arad also said the film would be "a lot more of a love story between Bruce Banner and Betty Ross."

- Sam Elliott stated he would have liked to have reprised the role of General Ross he played in 2003's "Hulk" but the part went to William Hurt.

- Eric Bana turned down reprising the role, as he viewed the first film as a one-off opportunity.

- Despite the villain being known as the "Abomination" in the comics, Penn considered this name too silly and states he will only be referred to by his real name Emil Blonsky on screen. Blonsky will also not have a Russian accent.

- The Incredible Hulk joined Toronto's Green-Screen initiative, to help cut carbon emissions and waste created during filming.

- Leterrier plans to use make-up and animatronics in combination with computer-generated imagery that had solely been used to portray the Hulk in the previous film. Norton had indicated he will provide motion capture for the character.

- The Hulk's size does not increase as he becomes further enraged, staying at a consistent height unlike in the last film.

Didn't know Norton was writing this one.
He is slept on on his writing skills.
This should be good.

More like hated on. A lot of writer/directors hate working with this dude because he always does this to the projects he works on.
See American History X.

yep it is

here is the tv series intro

I'm never against plot development...but the first movie took like an hour to get to the action scenes. Hopefully they pace this movie a lot better than they did the last one.

i wanna know what happened with the hulk's element absorption power from the last movie.
that looked liek it could bring some fresh scenes

Co-shizzle I rememeber most of the audience had fallen asleep or were bored to tears waiting for something to happen. I enjoyed the action scenes, but they took the dramatic elements way too seriously. Anyway, I'm glad they are using elements from the TV series also, because that's what many people associate "The Hulk" with. I'm trusting Norton's judgement on this one, he's too good an actor to mess this up. When I heard he was going to be in it, I was like yes!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:yes::yes::yes:

Already looking better than the first one. Norton looks grimey in that picture holding the vile.

LOL how gay a movie was that last one...lol He fought two mutated poodles...lol POODLES man POODLES...lol

More CGI?? Guess they still havent learned their lesson.

The fuck stupid shit are you talking about? You think I want to pay $20.00 to see some cheap shit like this running around the screen in slowmotion like in the 70's.

Unless you can find a 9ft tall 2000lb actor than cgi it is and thank God for it

man fight club,,,,peep primal fear, one of his 1st flicks, one of the best actors out there,..American History X,Primal Fear, Fight Club, The Score,

no bullshit. i fell asleep in the movie theater watching the last one. only movie i ever fallen asleep in the theater on

I hope it's better than the last one, I thought it was kind of corney, they went way too far with the cgi crap. I hope they have a better mix in this one, although bringing back a new Lou would probably be a mistake, but I'd like to see it. They get lazy with that cgi sometimes.

Hulk is actually only 7 feet tall. he is wide as hell. He's more of a monster than a giant, that's where people fuck up. Want to make him look like just a really big swole dude, and keep makin' him taller. NO, just need to ugly his ass up, he's supposed to be a little scary, but still in the human range.

I TOTALLY agree!!! And remember, he also has to have the speed of a world class sprinter. What actor can they get to pull that off????

As taken from the Marvel website:

Height
5' 9½" (Banner); 6'6" (gray Hulk); 7' – 8' (green/savage Hulk); 7'6" (green/Professor Hulk)

Weight
128 lbs. (Banner); 900 lbs. (gray Hulk); 1,040 – 1,400 lbs. (green/savage Hulk); 1,150 lbs. (green/Professor Hulk)

Eyes
Brown (Banner); Gray (gray Hulk); Green (green/savage Hulk); Green (green/Professor Hulk)

Hair
Brown (Banner); Black (gray Hulk); Green (green/savage Hulk); Green (green/Professor Hulk)

Powers
The Hulk possesses an incredible level of superhuman physical ability. His capacity for physical strength is potentially limitless due to the fact that the Hulk's strength increases proportionally with his level of great emotional stress, anger in particular. The Hulk uses his superhumanly strong leg muscles to leap great distances. The Hulk has been known to cover hundreds of miles in a single bound and once leaped almost into orbit around the Earth. The Hulk has shown a high resistance to physical damage nearly regardless of the cause, and has also shown resistance to extreme temperatures, poisons, and diseases in addition to regeneration of damaged or destroyed areas of tissue at an amazing rate.

The Hulk's body also has a gland that makes an "oxygenated per fluorocarbon emulsion", which creates pressure in the Hulk's lungs and effectively lets him breathe underwater and move quickly between varying depths without concerns about decompression or nitrogen narcosis.

Abilities
Dr. Bruce Banner is a genius in nuclear physics, possessing a mind so brilliant that it cannot be measured on any known intelligence test. When Banner is the Hulk, Banner's consciousness is buried within the Hulk's, and can influence the Hulk's behavior only to a very limited extent.

There are other options you clueless douche. Prostetics, puppets, robots, make-up. Also, i wasnt referring to a total elimination of CGI, i was just hoping it wouldnt be overdone like it was in the first film. It appears to be that way from the limited stuff i've seen. The 2003 Hulk was horrendous and far too mechanical and cartoonish.
