Ok Raiders fans, where you @

WOW......

This would be an all time low.I know Kiffin wanted his dad to replace Ryan as Defensive Coordinator but All nixed it.

That's how ESPN is wording it. Chris Mortenson said that Davis wrote Kiffin's letter of resignation for him and then gave it to Kiffin to sign. Kiffin said he ain't signing.

Punk ass Al Davis. Not a winning season but still 100% better than last year. Shit might've been better if russell could have started. As long as Al is fucking shit up we're never gonna have a real chance at even seeing the playoffs.

Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis has been pushing for coach Lane Kiffin to resign and is considering Dennis Green as a potential replacement, sources close to Kiffin and the team said.

Davis has gone so far as to draft a letter of resignation for Kiffin to sign, a source said. Kiffin has refused to do so but has dared Davis to fire him instead. The letter, the source said, was sent to Kiffin two weeks ago.

Kiffin, who was 4-12 in his first season as coach, has two years remaining on his contract at an estimated $2 million per year.

In the letter sent to Kiffin's legal representatives, Davis stated that only he would have control over his staff and full personnel decisions, sources said. According to a source close to Kiffin, Davis had promised Kiffin when he hired him that he would have more control over staff and personnel matters than recent Raiders coaches. Kiffin was allowed five offensive assistants and to name his own staff when he took the job after the 2006 season.

"I'm not going to comment on anything that has transpired in the past three weeks," Kiffin said from Mobile, Ala., where he and the Raiders staff are coaching the North team in the Under Armour Senior Bowl college all-star game.

The Raiders had no immediate comment.

Kiffn and Davis clashed near the conclusion of their postseason evaluation meetings when Kiffin expressed his desire to fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, a source said. Ryan himself wanted out to join the New York Jets in a similar capacity, but the Raiders released a statement asking for speculation to cease about the defensive coordinator's future.

Just this week at the Senior Bowl, Kiffin and Ryan both said their relationship was fine and expected to be coaching the team in 2008. However, Davis has not rescinded his request for Kiffin to step down, a source said.

As for Green's candidacy, while team sources said Davis has reached out to the veteran coach, Green said Friday, "I haven't really talked to Al about any coaching job but, really, how many times has my name been mentioned every time something goes on with the Raiders?"

The Raiders will interview James Lofton on Monday for a job, a source said. The Raiders are looking for a wide receivers coach and Lofton was recently fired as San Diego's receivers coach. However, Lofton has interviewed in the past to be head coach of the Raiders.

If he fires him then they still have to pay his contract...... he resignes then they keep the money and get a Damn Offensive line! Damn we need one bad!:angry:

I know he will never come to Oakland but got Damn, Can't we get Bill Cohwer instead of Dennis Green?! If your gonna blame the coach instead of the talent, or lack there of, at least bring in a hard nose coach:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Fuck Al Davis!!! I been a Raider fan my whole fuck'n life. The man use to be a guerrilla who made moves without giving a fuck about what others thought but the John Madden days is way over, now he's a old ass senile man who is driving one of the most historic franchises down in the dirt. As long as Al Davis is the owner of the Raiders, No legitimate Coach will come to the organization and put up with his shit!!:angry::angry:

AD is killing us. He's O/C with his pimp hand. Much love for the legacy and all but he needs to step the fuck back. Nobody's going to want to come to Oakland if he keeps this up.

Life after Oakland: C. Woodson, Randy Moss.:smh:

I got love for The Raider Nation but I'm chilling for a few years. I'm just going to be checking for good, competitive football.

How many years are we gonna be let down?

And oh yeah, SD and KC will never win championships so back off.

You hired Lane Kiffin to coach the team. He has the team going in the right direction. Because he would like to replace Rob Ryan with possibly his dad now he's not a good enough coach for the team. If Rob Ryan is that important he should have been given the job in the first place.

I will not try to defend AD, a wack job of the first degree. But I do not feel sorry for Kiffin either. In fact, I wouldn't mind being in his position at all.

Also, I've got pretty good sources that tell me that Kiffin was always treating the Raiders gig as a stepping stone to a Div I coaching position that he really wants. Yes bruhs, a lot of coaches really prefer college. Anyway, I wonder if AD caught a whiff of his attitude as some bosses do, and if that might be an underlying issue here.

Al: "Lane, you ungrateful bastard"!

BTW-as for his outstanding salary if he gets fired, I would consult with a dude named Mike Shanahan.

lane is out.

denny "they are who we thought they were" green is in.

as a raiders fan, i can't do anything but laugh at this shit.

the raiders won't be competitive again until al is dead and gone.

Why don't these NFL owners, especially Al Davis realize you need to establish a system if you really want that Champion caliber team. These coaches get no kinda opportunity to build a team, now Denny Green's wack ass is one gonna have one year to fuck up the Raiders...wtf kinda shit is this!

i'm a raider fan and...nothing is ever what it seems with this team. i'd wait to see what actually happens with kiffin.

to us, al is like the grandfather that can't see too good anymore and should have stopped driving cars a long time ago, but the family doesn't want to fuck up their inheritances so no one checks him. :smh:

Al has officially lost his gaddamn mind, Kiffin is definitely the right coach for this team, you can clearly see it, I mean it ain't his fault that he has players with no talent...well at least some of them. Silver and Black for Life!!

He ain't no granpappy to us, the man has done many great things for the league, but lets be honest man, 90% of the fans hate the fool, he has clearly done way more harm to the team than good in the past 10-20 years...time to check into the convalescent home pops!

if you really know anything about the raiders, you know that al ain't letting go of the team until they throw the last spade of dirt on him

If they get Green and then reunite him with Billick as the OC. Bring in Tice to run OL. They might be able to bring the potent Minnesota offense.
