In Hollywood, there's a secret society called THE GAY MAFIA. 1. Unwilling to see it
2. Completely oblivious to it
3. Are doing it themselves and don't want to acknowledge it
But I see what you mean though, although I'm not apart of the corporate world my mother is and she observes it numerous times. In order to actually 'make it' in some of these businesses you have to give up your dignity, body, mind, etc.

Well Denzel has been able to avoid undignified roles for the most part, all his career, yet he never won a Oscar for his other roles, but as soon as he gets shot in the ass, which is not that degrading, in its own, especially for the character he played, he wins that Oscar, coincidence? Especially after, that same year, Halle blew up in her Swordfish role, a part that Angela Bassett's turned down, due her feeling that the role was too degrading for a Black woman to play!
