I performed a search on google for "black wall street" and the first link that came up was for the record label that the game runs.

The reason that I'm posting this is because web masters can help change this and get a website that actually talks about the history of the real black wall street.

This can be accomplished by a simple link to a website that we all agree on which will help that site in terms of search engine optimization.

I'm currently linking to the wiki page for the black wall street but if anyone has any other suggestions let me know.

There was more than one BLACK WALL STREET...but they were named after the real BLACK WALL STREET in TULSA, OKLAHOMA...

Part of the reason why when someone searches for the phrase "black wall street" and the first result that appears is a record labels' website is because of anchor text linking to the labels website with the phrase "black wall street."

This is a key ingredient to search engine optimization (art of getting sites to rank higher for certain keywords).

If the webmasters of the board link to a site that we can all agree on to get the anchor text/links past that of the record labels website the correct site should come up for people to click on and educate.

Theblackwallstreet that's up right now is a mockery of what the black wall street was all about.

I think nappy is saying that if more people link to a chosen site that gives info on the real Black Wall Street in Tulsa, it'll help that site get better search rankings on google etc. Eventually, when someone googles it, the informational site will come up as the 1st listing instead of Games record label.

Are you checking backlinks by link: http://www.daveyd.com/blackwallpolitic.html or an SEO tool?

If so then the labels website only has 67 links and the Daveyd has 3 but there has to be more than enough webmasters on this board be it lurkers or normal members.

Anchor text is way more relevant than the title of a url.
