Kids just being kids, having fun. At what point do our kids have the right to just be kids without the weight of the whole damn world on their shoulders. I don't care for the music but the bigger picture says, he used his head to make his dream happen as an individual. The Grammys never had any sort of credibility when it came to Hip-Hop/Rap music to begin with. The first rap Grammy went to the Fresh Prince during an era when way better rappers existed. When it comes to rap and grammys, it's not so much about what's good, as it is about what can be understood to the people who gives out the awards, and those people don't 'get' rap as an artform. Never did.

If the Grammys cared about the art of MCing at all, there would be a Best Lyricist Award.

We're talking about an Awards Show who gave awards to songs like 'Baby Got Back', 'Gettin Jiggy wit it', and 'Get Yo Freak on'. They tend to give the awards to the most popular act, without taking lyricism (An element of rap just as important as any other element) into consideration.

That said, when I first heard it, I honestly liked the song. But that don't mean that I listen to it now. I have moved on.
