Career Question for the BGOL Family (no porn)

I am finishing my undergrad in a year and wanted to get some idea of what to expect from those of you in industry.

I am doing 2 degrees: One in Information Sciences and the other in Electrical Engineering from a very reputable school in PA.

I was thinking about a career in Network or Database Admin or something like that. A high paced environment, but I don't wanna be slaving away all the time!

I'm requesting suggestions for possible career paths with the aforementioned credentials and possible starting salary (I have a pretty decent GPA)?

Straight opinions, hardened facts, and/or valid experiences will ALL be appreciated!

go to the DOD in philly they are hiring like crazy. Gov aint going to give you top pay but the bennies are some of the best.

Also apply to Lockhead Martin they have jobs in DC Philly South Jersey(largest employer in south jersey) and ATL to name a few places. I know one girls working there as an engineer and the project she is working on is scheduled to last her through her retirement from the company if she chooses. Lockhead is a very stable company. Like the government you credit and background needs to be clear
