Bhutto has been assassinated.

Didn't have to happen. Courageous but EXCEPTIONALLY foolish woman. Far too much disregard for her saftey but more importantly, the saftey of her followers.

This is gonna get very messy. :(

Same thing I was thinking.

I wonder what Bush is going to do about our 'ally' in the war on terror and spreading democracy in the Middle East. Pakistan has nukes...I don't seem him talking to them like he talks to Iran...

Oh man, and I hear about it first on BGOL. So, now, what happens there? Is her party's bench deep enough to put up a strong candidate?

As much as I love and respect Imran Khan for his cricket and philanthropic work (for those that don't know, he's probably the second greatest cricket all-rounder. Big up BGOL's West Indians), he's very friendly with the pro-Taliban elements. If that side wins next month's election, they'll have the key to nukes.

The Bhutto camp would never have continued the sham "war on terror" with the zeal of U.S.-supported dictator Pervez Musharraf. This is a victory for Musharraf......for now.

Wow. I had a feeling this would happen but it still took me by surprise.
I think "everyone" did.

That's the frustrating part. Anyone tracking her return knew she had to be EXTRA careful or this very thing would happen. She should've kept a much lower profile in these early stages of trying to get her message/movement going. :smh:

In that part of the world, the idea of a woman in charge is sacrilegious.

May she rest in peace

According to reports on CNN. Will post a story when there is a link.

This link says critically injured..however, reports are that she has died.

Yep. another one down. That country is a joke. Musharaaf ... U.S ally on "war against terror..." What a joke! I mean c'mon! just one month ago as she got back home, she barely escaped a first attempt. I guess it was just a matter of time... She knew it but kept on... I still cant understand the object of such stubborned sacrifice... RIP

Damn sad man...she looked half way decent too.
appearances can be deceiving that bitch was as corrupt as musharraf

Musharaf and the military leaders killed that bitch. Bush sent her over there as if Musharraf's crew was going to allow her to steal their nation back. GTFOH Bush and the neocons have the most fuckin ludicrous designs on foreign policy. Total fuckery. They want to rob the world blind but forgot the part where you pretend to be helping people.

Killing her is Musharraf telling Bush to go fuck himself.

Get all the latest events on bgol.Thats what I love about this board , I can come here instead of watching the news.Sad story indeed....

.

Wasn't corruption the very reason for her self-imposed exile in the first place...however, still an unfortunate event... but not surprising..

R.I.P. no disrespect, but she was a good looking MILF. A shame she had to die in such a violent way...

The Military might have to take over. Its not that serious though because Bush knew they wouldn't let a WomAN rule over them.

Most of them are muslims right?

she was there was doubting that.

?

Not sure I follow you man, you sayin you didn't think she was guilty?

And I'm not sayin that she deserved to be killed or nothin, lemme make that clear, but she pissed a lot of people off in the country, and you gotta remember its a country that jus got rid of its State of Emergency status..

yup

that bitch came back because the US was backing her and they thought it would keep her alive

Im very very very interested in the US response to this since its Pakistan's ruling group telling the US to fuckoff.

Lookout for fake unrest or real unrest making way for a new crackdown and state of emergency declaration

I'm saying I've been following her for a while now because she is a topic at least once a week on NPR radio. I'm saying she was guilty and there was no doubting that she was.
