I think a lot of people confuse GREATEST of all-time with just their personal favorite. It's 2 totally different things. Some of the names that have been brought up in this thread....it's just unexplainable. IMO...there are really only 3 women are truly worth discussing for greatest ever.....

I know she did that song, I dont like nobody to sing that song but Minnie, only Minnie's voice could make that "go"...but somebody covered Here we go just cant think of them.
That I don't know, I really got turned off to her after her 2nd album, I thought she took a step back to me.
And as a side note, what the hell is the facination with Mariah Carey? She has a good voice but, for bamas to be putting her in an all time greats cat. over the likes of Chaka, Rachelle, Minnie, Gladys, Diane Reeves, ect.
I know she's biracial but, is her father a "black" american?
