My two oldest kids were born out of wedlock

My best friend's two sons were born out of wedlock

My other boy's two sons were also born out of wedlock

I know of at least 3 other cats PERSONALLY whose kids were also born "out of wedlock"

ALL these dudes are currently married to the mothers of their children, including me.

But guess what?

ALL OF OUR KIDS ARE STILL INCLUDED IN THAT 70% STAT.

Couples having kids BEFORE they marry is common as hell in today's society. Hell, couples staying together, having kids and NEVER getting married is common s hell.

Also, just because a kid was born out of wedlock DOES NOT mean the daddy is not around. Hell, I got homeboys that are single daddies, but that stat would lead you to believe the kids live with their mothers.

C/S..what i also noticed is that young white women who get married will marry the father but not actually live with him or be divorced a year later. so basically its the same thing cept they run to the courthouse for a sham marriage. Hell, my sister was a single mom and her daughter just graduated from an Ivy League college and she got her BS and MBA and is now a CPA (had she stayed with the dude that got her pregnant 24 years ago, I SERIOUSLY doubt shit would have turned out that way). So she made ONE BAD CHOICE 24 years ago and has made hundreds of EXCELLENT choices since then. Most def goes both ways and most times there is more blame to be had on one side than the other. Every story got two sides and 9 times out of 10, somebody did MORE to fuck it up on one side than the other. My shit is just that if I DON'T KNOW YOU, I can't formulate an opinion on the shit. Just like dude trying to say you got beef with single moms because you got dissed or some shit, thats some fuckin' nonsense.

Back when I was single, I didn't fuck with single moms because I didn't feel like dealing with baby-daddies ONE and TWO, I didn't feel like dealing with a bunch of man-hating baggage (if that ended up being the case). As far as her choices, I really didn't give a fuck about that. Hell, her cutting loose her baby-daddy may have been the BEST shit she ever did for herself and her shorty. On the flipside, she may have flat out ran dude off with her personal bullshit or is keeping dude away from his kid. Regardless of the reason, I steered clear of the shit.

BUT

I DO know some single moms that are EXTREMELY on point with theirs (bad decision or not). Hell, my sister was a single mom and her daughter just graduated from an Ivy League college and she got her BS and MBA and is not a CPA (had she stayed with the dude that got her pregnant 24 years ago, I SERIOUSLY doubt shit would have turned out that way). So she made ONE BAD CHOICE 24 years ago and has made hundreds of EXCELLENT choices since then. Now I probably would have steered clear of her if I met her, but seeing how shit turned out, I would have MISJUDGED THE SHIT out of her based on my personal choice. I'm cool with that, but I can't talk shit on anything she has accomplished. EVERYBODY makes millions of choices throughout life, some bad, some good, that's life.

When my mother was on her deathbed with cancer at age 79, my dumb ass wasn't gonna sit there talking about "You shouldn't have smoked when you were in your 20's".

Shit is INDIVIDUAL. If you just said YOU don't fuck with single mothers, cool, but talking about them like you know for a fact that every single one of them is just shit is some bullshit.

If a sista is a single mom and the father didn't die in war, from an accident, or health complications, I will judge her negatively because of her bad choices...period.
If you consider that to be painting them with a broad stroke, then so be it.
Every group of people on this planet are judged by their choices and actions, but according to some here black women shouldn't

not only white women, but Hispanic women have mommy and daddy too. I was in class and this hispanic chick was talking about how her family helps take care of her kid, it was like she just dumps the child on them
