It must be really hard being a woman especially with how predatory our society can be.. I've read reports that more than half of all women/girls have been either molested or have suffered some form of sexual abuse. Shit is really fucked up especially when someone that you know personally have experienced this horror.

Men and women are abused- most rapes occurr before the age of 12 especially for young boys. It's very sad. I gave a talk about it once and showed a small video of survivor stories- some of the students couldn't even look at it(one girl sat with her head bowed for the whole clip) so I know some of them have experienced it.

It has not been part of my experience, but it did happen to my aunt and my mother I suspect. My mother was always extremely cautious when I was young. She never left me alone even with male relatives unless it was my older brother and she would ask (a bit excessively) if anything I didn't want to happen happened to me when I was away from her. It annoyed me at the time, but given her childhood I understand and thank her.

If someone hurt my little niece or nephews I would trade my zen path for an incarceration with a quickness

That's a tough subject for me also, because several of my former girlfriend were sexually assaulted or molested in their childhood. Being a man, I just try to be someone that they could trust. I'm still good friends with them to this day, but we're better as friends because that does affect their ability to be close in a relationship. It seems like they were always waiting for the ball to drop even thought there was nothing wrong with the relationship. That right there made the relationship impossible to work. I just wish I could run into the people who did the dirt so I could help to decrease the worlds population by a few by helping to clean up the gene pool.

i can count on my one hand how many women i know that were not raped, abused, etc.

i didn't realize it was that bad until i was in college, then after i got out worked for a school system and had to handle the sexual/physical abuse reports between the school systems and the courts.

It would happen after school. I did sports too and the building was basically empty except for the kids who did sports and the coaches. My locker was at the end of a hall in the corner near the bathrooms and they would roll up on me 6 and 7 at a time and shove me in the bathroom and if i didn't do what they wanted they would flush my head in the toilet. I tried to report it a few times but nothing ever came of it. Thats why I started training martial arts.
