To say I'm surprised at the results in the main fights = complete understatement.

I watched RUA/GRIFFIN, and JARDINE/LIDDELL yesterday.

SANCHEZ/FITCH a few minutes ago.

And currently watching MACHIDA/NAKAMURA.

The aforementioned 3 fights def' caught me off-guard. I was most impressed with the amount of JOSTLING FOR POSITION and general ground work in the Diego/Jon battle. Good shit right there!

Vanderlai is really looking a lot like Kurt Angle who looks a lot like Frank Trigg.

And I was wondering what the heck happened to Bobby Southworth, it seems he dropped off the planet after TUF season 1. I always felt Dana didn't like his black ass especially after he chewed Dana out about trying to give a "you can overcome this" speech to a veteran.

I was surprised at the length of the fights at that on-tv September 8th PPV. Most of them went the distance. Same with this recent September 22nd UFC joint ... nothing quick/dissapointing. It would have been nice to see knockouts and whatnot ... but I was surprised this past month how so many fights had to go to the judges' decision(s) ... I totally didn't expect Jackson/Henderson to go 5 rounds.
 
Thanks again for the Taylor/Pavlik fight. Got around to downloading it while at work earlier today ... and got home a little while ago and having a bite to eat while watchin'. Props!

yea man I think congo got cro cop..first round was kind of even but the last 4 congo took it 2 him...when they went 2 the ground congo got the best of him merko didn't really do shit and when

they finally stood cong worked thoes legs with tha kicks..then he came upstairs wit the kick punch combos.. and that was it..it was kinda boring tho


rampage/henderson was cool tho.. first couple of rounds were kinda even tho I GAVE BOTH 2 RAMPAGE.. THE LAST 3 WERE CLEARLY PAGES it was nice 2 see rampages ground game improve he got of a couple moves henderson tried 2 throw got on top and pounded..

then u know his stand up game is tight he hit dan with the harder cleaner punches and even went 2 the legs a couple times.. I WANTED 2 SEE RAMPAGE SLAME..LOL IT WAS COOL THO

I agree, fam'. It seems as though CRO COP has been quite shaky since his arrival in the UFC back in the spring of '07. That fight with Gonzaga fucked him up pretty good, in my opinion. Gettin' clocked upside the head months ago with that devastating kick and then falling awkwardly with your leg all kind(s) of twisted up under you is enough to defeat your initial spirit in a new organization, lol.

As for HENDERSON/JACKSON ... I was quite surprised it went the full 5 rounds and 25 minutes of action. I was watching the event at work with some of the residents (mental health consumers) and told 2 of the guys to be on the look out for JACKSON in that he's known for his stand-up and slams (especially with his years in PRIDE). We haven't had a chance to fully check out that content in his few bouts thus far in the UFC ... but we'll eventually see him WWE'ing people. Anyway ... told the cats to watch out for that, and when the fight nearly lasted that half hour mark ... I kept repeating to my dudes "I didn't expect this fight to go to the ground so often ... and last from practically 8:30 - 9pm PST, fam' ..."
 
i'm looking forward to the Silva/Franklin fight... Who do you guys like? I think Silva has Franklin's number though.
