I am feeling the so-called "metrosexual" style of dress...

I believe in getting your grown man on, but there are certain things that I will never do:

Wear a vest
Wear a turtleneck
Wear jeans and a Blazer
Tie a sweater around any part of my body
Arch my eyebrows
No tight pants of any style
Tuck my shirt in a casual setting
wear "soft " colors like pink
No backpacks or man-purses

^^^ That GIF shit is funny as hell, but the more nikkas quote that shit the more disgusted and sick I feel. I understand the dress code, shit is cool wit me, but it's not for everybody. The word used to describe it "metrosexual" is what throws catz waaaaaaaaay off.

I've been doing jeans and a blazer since '98...I don't see anything wrong with that...I feel you on the rest though...

All playing aside, you have a god point but you totally worded it wrong.I wear jeans,Fitting T-shirt and blazers on the regular, but never thought of myself as metrosexual.

WTF?:smh:

i wear sweater V-neck vest from macy's with a polo shirt. theres nothing wrong with that

theres nothing wrong wearing a turtle neck

theres nothing wrong with backpacks/bookbags

and

theres nothing wrong with tucking your shirt in.

When someone says Metrosexual, it's like saying, " Pink is the new Brown. "

First dude I saw in a matching pink shirt with pink shoelaces was a Military cat in the airport.

Thought it was don't ask, don't SHOW!

Please don't let gays start getting wild warrior skills like some Spartan shit!

Remember, it doesn't work for me.I have no problem tucking my shirt in a formal setting, but I refuse to do it in a casual one. I don't like to feel confined by clothing. I am not a fan of ties (even though when I wear a suit, I like to be clean).

Too bad.

It works very well for some though.

That's three strikes for me Femme,
the turtleneck and the jeans /blazer combo all are a no-no

Just another area where down south country folk are years behind us NY urban men...(I don't rock turtle necks tho lol) But they still rockin long ass white tees

A hell of a lot of southern cats rock that look. Nobody wears white tees (except teenagers). Have you been to atlanta before ?

BTW I couldn't find those Stacy Adams so I copped some Steve Maddens...shit look decent and I generally don't like their casual shoes but these look nice...since I have the digi cam out if any ladies want any personalized dick pics holla...just kidding!

...not all the extra bullshit like getting your toes and nails done and facials and all that homo shit but just the clothes I've been rocking...slightly bright colored shirts that have a "modern" fit and exactly my size not baggy...jeans and casual pants again that fit...loose fitted but not baggy..."square-toed" shoes not the traditional regular round-toed joints...I don't see why it's called metrosexual or has any negative connotations...to me it just seems like some shit any male adult should feel comfortable wearing if they so choose...it's kind of a pleasant switch from my normal hood wear shit or just wearing a shirt and tie to work which always seemed a little too formal...in NY this was nothing new but out here brothers don't dress like that...shit not even the white boys...so I am killing it out here...women love the look...shit I might get me some of those Stacy Adams looking shoe-sneakers this weekend...

I feel you on this one. I've changed my shit up and left the old baggyness, for the more fitting look. Its more appealing. I been rockin crazy dress shirts with long sweaters over em for a minute now. And yea chicks do love this shit. More so than the old jeans/jersey look. Don't get me wrong, i'll still rock my shit once in a while, but this look is much more suitable for me now that i'm older. Don't feel alone bruh.

Notables:

Stacy Adams makes average shirts.
Dont wear anything by Steve Harvey.
Diddy "Sean John" Combs has an insane shirt lineup.
Donald Trumps Ties are hands down the finest at the moment.
Ike Behar's run really really tight. So go for the bigger size.
And Jos. A Bank is incredibly overpriced.

That's about it.

Peace and good luck.

those look good. I got a pair of steve maddens from a couple of years ago. Gotta get the heels fixed tho. I have a ton of shoes that I dont wear because the heels are worn down. How do I fix that?

Thanks man...as for the heel situation...I don't know...you might just have to buy a new pair...I don't think a shoesmith can do much... @ slick...hold on to those playa...I don't want you to accuse me of swaggerjacking...

A man comfortable in his own skin is comfortable whether he is in a suit, in his PJ's, in boxers, swim trunks, a jersey and kicks, or in the buff. As long as he knows what, when and where.
