First of all, I'm not posting this thread to see whether everyone here thinks O.J. is innocent or guilty (although you are all welcome to say so). What I'm trying to figure is what has to say about why he would put himself in such a position knowing what happened 12 years ago. Yes, he was found not guilty of those murders and he does not have a criminal record, but a majority of White Americans believes he still did it. Anyway, if, as he claims, he was going to reclaim memorabilia that had been stolen from him, why didn't he bring a police officer with him? Seems to me that his accomplice, claiming a setup, was right, and O.J. fell for it hook, line, and sinker and he ended up being caught on camera. I understand that all of us have had a few lapses in judgment in our lifetimes, but this one by O.J., particularly in light of what happened 12 years ago, is just plain dumb. Also, it seems to me that some of the charges against him, which include kidnapping (who in the world did he try to kidnap?
), seem trumped up, as if the Las Vegas police are trying to succeed where the California police failed. Your thoughts?
