formerly known as Michael Dyczko, Jr.

This mother fucker had four good years as a player and his career wasn't cut short because of injury like Gayle Sayers or Terrell Davis. He played eight more years being average to being a JAG (just a guy). The only reason he got to the Hall of Fame is because he won a Super Bowl as a head coach and his name recognition.

He rode the fuck out of Buddy Ryan's defense. Without Buddy Ryan nobody would remember Mike Ditka's name

As a long time Bears fan, Ditka was a legend to us growing up as kids because the Bears won and arguably had one of the greatest teams in NFL history. That 85 defense with Buddy Ryan in charge was legendary. Part of me is conflicted because later you find out what type of person he is. But during those years in the 80's it was fun watching the Bears be dominant and I'm a Bears fan today because of it. R. I. P.. Coach.

Ditka said Republicans tried to convince him to run for the seat after primary winner Jack Ryan dropped out of the race amidst controversy involving his divorce from TV star Jeri Ryan.
