The Official 2025/2026 NBA Season - The New York Knicks Are The 2026 NBA CHAMPIONS!!!

Because all the contracts were signed "before the sale".
The past owners of the Celtics signed the entire 2024 championship Celtics to contracts that would keep them together for 3 to 4 years.
Then the new owners came in after the championship and got rid of everyone to get under the 2nd apron to make an early profit.
That's one of the reasons why I hated josh harris because he was always worried about that second apron bullshit.

No team can improve worrying about that second apron getting scraps to think it would help the team.

I know y'all got a new owner now but they're doing anything to save money.

I also heard they own another team as well.

What a damn dummy.

Dude was pussy whipped while she was playing chess to get that child support money.

Right, these dudes get with these hoes who see them as a ATM machine they can easily manipulate because everyone saw it from a mile away how she was using him.

Ok, because they will have a lot to prove that they can win without him now with tatum being the new captain.

They can say it's a money issue or feel they're fine with the current roster they have getting back a injury prone PG and some picks.

Crazy how they act like brown 28.7 ppg isn't nothing.

they saying his on/off is really bad.

It takes him too many possessions to get those points

If they feel that way then fine because even if it did take too many possessions to get those point, it still helped the team win regardless.

If jaylen brown was hurt too like tatum is when that team would either be a play-in or lottery team down below.

Crazy they keep disrespecting him like he was some scrub like PG who had the lowest PPG in his career playing like a role player who also has the worst contract in the league.

People wait for him to get traded to show their true colors.

I can't wait for brown and the sixers to show why they made a mistake trading him.

76ERS ACQUIRE 5X ALL-STAR AND 2X ALL-NBA SELECTION JAYLEN BROWN

JAYLEN BROWN ACQUIRED BY 76ERS IN EXCHANGE FOR PAUL GEORGE, TWO-FIRST ROUND PICKS, AND TWO-SECOND ROUND PICKS
POSTED CAREER HIGHS IN POINTS (28.7), REBOUNDS (6.9), AND ASSISTS (5.1) IN 2025-26
2024 NBA CHAMPION AND FINALS MVP

PHILADELPHIA — July 6, 2026 — Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey announced today that the team has acquired five-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Paul George, two-first round picks, and two second-round picks.
“I am incredibly excited to welcome five-time NBA All-Star and 2024 Finals MVP Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers,” Managing Partner Josh Harris said. “Throughout his career, Jaylen has proven to be one of the best two-way players in the league. He knows what it takes to win at the highest levels and I can’t wait to see him alongside Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe.

“I also want to thank Paul for his contributions during his time in Philadelphia. Paul and his family were active in our community, and we’re appreciative of their time and impact here.”
A 10-year NBA veteran, Brown, 29, holds career averages of 20.0 points on 47.8-percent shooting (35.8% 3FG, 73.9% FT), 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steal, and 31.0 minutes in 674 career games with Boston. The former No. 3 overall selection in 2016 has averaged north of 20.0 points in seven of his 10 years in the NBA, and is one of four players league wide to produce at least 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in each of the past seven seasons dating back to the 2019-20 campaign.
“Jaylen has proven himself as one of the league’s top players year after year,” Gansey said. “He is a dynamic playmaker with a versatile skillset that positively impacts the game on both ends of the floor. His wealth of experience, high basketball IQ, poise, and leadership will benefit this franchise for years to come.

“A perennial All-Star and All-NBA talent, Jaylen also has a special ability to elevate his game on the brightest of stages, as evidenced by his world championship and Finals MVP selection. We couldn’t be happier to officially welcome him as a 76er.”
Brown has been a prolific playoff performer, having competed in 142 postseason games across nine trips to the NBA Playoffs throughout his 10-year career. He holds playoff averages of 19.6 points on 48.0-percent shooting (35.7% 3FG), 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steal in 33.6 minutes.
Brown cemented his playoff legacy during a 2023-24 postseason run in which he guided the Celtics to an NBA Championship. He produced 20.8 points (44.0% FG), 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.6 steals in five games against the Mavericks, tallying at least 20 points in four of the five Finals contests. He poured in 30 points and shot 10-for-13 from inside the arc in Game 3 of that series, paving the way to his NBA Finals MVP selection.
Since Brown entered the league in 2016-17, his 523 combined wins between the regular season and NBA Playoffs rank first across the league.
“I’m excited to begin this next chapter in Philly. From every conversation I’ve had, it’s clear this is a group that’s hungry, competitive, and committed to winning; and that’s the kind of environment I’ve always embraced. I’ve always believed that success comes from sacrifice, accountability, and putting the team above yourself. I’m looking forward to building with this group, earning the trust of my teammates, and chasing something special together,” Brown said.

“Off the court, I’m just as excited to become part of the Philly community. Throughout my career, I’ve believed basketball can be a catalyst for creating real impact, and I’m eager to continue expanding the work of the 7uice Foundation, investing in youth, education, and opportunities that leave a lasting difference. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I’m ready to get to work. #Throwtheballup”
Brown joins the 76ers fresh off a career campaign in 2025-26 in which his career-high 28.7 points per game ranked fourth in the NBA and led all Eastern Conference competitors. He also notched career-high marks in rebounds (6.9) and assists (5.1) while shooting 47.7-percent from the field and 34.7-percent from beyond the arc.
The Marietta, Georgia native’s 2,038 points scored and his seven 40-point performances both ranked first in the Eastern Conference. Brown, who tallied a career-high 50 points on 18-of-26 shooting (6-10 3FG) in Los Angeles against the Clippers on Jan. 3, ended the 2025-26 campaign with 15 games of 25-plus points, five-plus rebounds, and five-plus assists, good for fifth most in the NBA.
In 78 games played across two seasons with the 76ers, George averaged 16.7 points (43.3 FG%, 37.5 3FG%, 81.7 FT%), 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.8 steals.
Brown will wear No. 7 for the 76ers.
The draft compensation is as follows:
  • A 2028 first round pick (the LA Clippers’ own) that, if it is top 16, instead becomes the unprotected right for Boston to swap its currently-held 2028 first round pick (the worst of Boston’s and San Antonio’s) with the better of the LA Clippers’ of (if Philadelphia’s is top 8) Philadelphia’s 2028 first round pick.
  • Philadelphia’s 2031 unprotected first round pick.
  • The most favorable 2028 second round pick among Golden State’s, Milwaukee’s, or Oklahoma City’s.
  • The more favorable 2030 second round pick among Phoenix’s, Portland’s, or Washington’s

Jeff Teague on Jaylen Brown comments towards the media starting these narratives about why he got traded:

“It make you appreciate Jaylen Brown a little more. Because honestly everybody else is kind of in that world. When you start to get in that world, you start seeing like, damn, they just ain’t real. And even though we, you know, it was a JT, JB sh*t and we little cooler and we rock with JT more or whatever as a person because we know him more, you start feeling like, damn, JB ain’t doing nothing wrong. They just start making up sh*t about him. Like I played on a team with him. He a cool a** n***a. He just stay to itself.”
