Once Upon A Time In Harlem
Official Teaser Trailer
Debuts October 16, 2026

A decade after his death, genre-defying filmmaker William Greaves has one last trick up his sleeve with what he considered the most important event he captured on film: a 1972 party he engineered with the living luminaries of the Harlem Renaissance.

For four hours, this extraordinary group – many of whom had not seen each other in fifty years – reminisced, critiqued, argued, laughed and drank while wrestling with their place in a rapidly shifting cultural landscape.

Shot on 16mm film, newly restored and now directed by Greaves’ son David, this landmark film is at once a self-exploration and an inquiry into the heart of the critical mass of energy called the Harlem Renaissance.

William Greaves’ intent was not only to document these artists and intellectuals as they spoke about their lives and work but also to plumb the meaning of the extraordinary creative period in which they lived to help us better understand how culture has been passed on from one generation to another and the role that the artist plays in keeping it alive.[/i]

Scary Movie 2026

Thirteen years after the first Scary Movie the reigns have been returned to the Wayans Brothers who go to the storage bin of gags while inserting a laundry list of pop culture and current events to make fun of. I thought the best parts of the movie were the sight gags using illustrations, animation, physical comedy and accidents. Some gags overstay their welcome big time plus theres a cringey and embarrassing vibe to some of the gags. The cast gives it their all but I found myself easily distracted waiting for the film to be far more humorous.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 5

CHUM

With a weak and then some set up this latest shark movie has a few things going for it.Alice Eve,Elle Haymond and Lisa Yaro provide some nice eye candy ,some of the kills were entertaining especially when a character let's out a very unique scream. There's a cool looking weapon that was used often. For the most part the movie is filled with smug and privileged characters i didn't care about. The CGI and AI sharks looked like the sharks i used to see in late 1980s video games. I thought the twist in the movie was absurd and unintentionally funny and when its explained its even more outrageously funny. Even the writers and directors know it by providing wacky sound effects to the story. The acting and script is stalled and blank. The movie has 3 different endings one so out of left field all I could do was laugh.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 3

Seven Snipers

PRAISE: Some Director and Cinematographer team ups are absolutely outstanding. Director Sandra Sciberras and Cinematographer Andrew Conder put on quite the show in this movie about a retired elite sniper who gathers her former kill squad to protect her daughter from a ruthless warlord. It was great to see Radha Mitchell as Kris Hendricks / Voodoo Child in an action flick again, she also provides and intense, loving but stern performance. Tim Roth's portrayal of The Dragon was so cool, calm and collected especially when presenting his goal in thought it added to the intimidating build up of his character. Annabel Wolfe as Anja turns in a performance that is filled to the brim with raw emotion as moments in the past and present display why she has certain loyalties and estrangements.I almost didnt recognize Ioan Gruffudd as Milk who i also thought turned in a very good performance. Several of the characters are the best at what they do so it added to my suspense levels. The movie has all the rawness of an indie action movie. The stakes are set up nicely in a if its not one thing its another manner. I was so involved and in such high anticipation to hear a bullet to whistle through the air to break up the overwhelming tension. I enjoyed the hell out of this movie !!

PROBLEMS: I think the movie needed at least 15 more minutes to provide some more backstory for a couple of characters.

Scale of 1 to 10 an 8½

Definitely on my list of favorite movies of 2026

‘Blair Witch Project’s Heather Donahue Clarifies She’s “Not Participating” In Reboot: “Preserving My Autonomy Mattered More”

After more than 25 years of reluctantly being the face of the franchise, the actress formerly known as Heather Donahue is prioritizing her image over a Blair Witchreturn.

With a reimagining in the works at Lionsgate and Blumhouse, Donahue (who currently goes by Rei Hance) explained why she is “not participating” in the Dylan Clark-helmed update on the 1999 found-footage classic, The Blair Witch Project, which launched the horror subgenre into the mainstream.

“There seems to be some willful confusion about my involvement with the reboot,” she wrote in a Facebook comment, responding to a recent interview with producer James Wan. “I want to clarify that I am not participating.”…

BY MAGGIE DELA PAZ

…The X-Files: I Want to Believe director’s cut is expected to feature more R-rated horror elements, which director Chris Carter originally removed from the film’s final theatrical cut after the studio pushed for a more PG-13 version. In the 2008 film, Duchony and Anderson reunited as the iconic mystery-solving duo in the franchise’s second feature film. Unlike the first installment, the sequel divided critics and fans over its plot. It currently holds a 32% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 167 reviews.

“Though FBI special agent Fox Mulder and his partner, Dr. Dana Scully, once chased things that go bump in the night, his tireless search for the truth out there has led to his professional exile. However, a missing-persons case leads to the agents’ reunion, along with an encounter with a priest who may or may not be experiencing psychic visions,” reads the official synopsis...
