The main issue with the Democratic Party is they don’t fear their electorate. They take the Democratic Electorate for granted thinking…‘Who Else Are They Gonna Vote For?’.
It’s why they spend 99% of their time trying to convince GOP voters to vote for them. And GOP voters have made it clear they ain’t voting for no Democrat cuz they think the Dems are for Black folks.
The solution is the Democratic Electorate has to light the fire up under the Democratic Party.
Democrats only come out to protest when a Republican is in the White House. There were no organized protests to light the fire under Clinton, Obama and Biden when the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress during their administrations.
When Obama was in office, the Tea Party came out in full strength against him and the GOP. Everyone laughed at them….until they came in and basically took over the House in 2010 and the Senate in 2014.
The Democratic Electorate needs to go full ‘Tea Party’ against the Democratic Party, if not….it will be the same Ol’ song like you pointed out.

An opposition party shows what good leadership looks like in opposition to trump.

Catering to populace works for the right because their ideas are stupid. You can't make smart ideas sound dumb. A better sounding dumb idea will always win to a dumb sounding smart idea. Why don't we show America what real leadership looks like and make the next republican party try to sound like us instead of us sounding like them.
If we become a country where intelligence is not respected we lose all around.
The tea party wing of the republican party did not evolve organically; it was orchestrated by some of the same billionaires that have cultivated the development of the maga movement.
Establishment democrats are beholden to (read owned by) Israel, and they work for the benefit of the same, to the detriment of U.S. citizens. These are also the ones who support the agendas of big business (pharmaceuticals, oil industry, etc.), again, at our expense.
Progressive democrats are actually educated with respect to civics and history. They have great ideas (universal health care, family medical leave, etc.)/. These individuals are to the democratic party what the tea party was to the republican party.
Problem is, they have not been able to take over the democratic party, due in part to the fact that they cannot and will not acknowledge that lgbtq issues are NOT foremost in the minds of the typical American.
In short, establishment dems (Schumer, et al) need to be replaced with AOC types (people who actually know shit), and AOC types need to prioritize the WORKING CLASS.

Who wins the election? The person with the smartest voters or the person with the most votes? We've built an elitist, arrogant party that wonders why 75% of people in the country don't like us. The complete arrogance to think that unless people pass your intelligence standards, they don't deserve you to represent them.

USA was doing better than other countries bouncing back from the pandemic, but it's never enough! There are limitations but people want this quick fix for everything. What happens now that economists are saying this administration is putting the country back and it will take 5-10 years to get back on track. What happens when after 4 years things are still bad? Mamdani came in and said I'm going to build some public supermarkets. You can use them if you want. That's way different from, we're building public supermarkets and we're outlawing all private supermarkets, we're not going to give you a choice, and we're going to raise your taxes for the privilege.
Maybe it's not that people don't think we can have healthcare, maybe they just don't like the healthcare you're trying to force on them.
