The job of an elected politician is ro REPRESENT the voter. Not scold them. Like I said, you don't have to worry. Dems are not going to lower themselves to catering to the voter. They would rather live through a dozen Trumps and JD Vances and Rubios and Desantises before they do that.
The power belongs to the people, not to politicians. They vote in who they want to.
The problem is they don't care! They only care about how their base sees them, everything else is fake news.

Yes, that stuff matters to "Dem voters" but there aren't enough "Dem voters" to consistently win elections. I don't know why it's such a controversial take that in order to win elections you have to convince the majority of voters to vote for you.
But dems will fight to the death to just continue to talk amongst themselves and not ever lower themselves to cater to the majority of voters. Voters have stated in poll after poll after poll the economy it far away their top concern and Dems say, fuck you, Gaza lol. Or fuck you, fascism.

They only wanted to hear that "on day one things will change!" They wanted to hear they were right to believe that money and resources were being withheld from them, and that the only way to get them was to vote Trump in. It isn't about feeling superior it is about having a conversation. Tuning people out after the first thing you DON'T want to hear is how we got here. Only voting because you don't want men playing in women's sports is how we got here.

We live in a country where we care NOTHING about our neighbor unless what is happening to them is happening to us. China only has to worry about Classism. Just look at the responses in this thread. Dem after dem defending a strategy that lost them everything in 2024. You show them poll after poll showing their approval rating in the 20s and it never pops in their mind that maybe we're doing something wrong for so many people to not like us.

To this day, I don't understand how they totally forget Trump 1.0 and totally ignored Trump openly telling everyone that Israel needs to "finish the job".

I cannot fully disagree with your point because if the people are too dumb you have to still speak to them if you want their suppport.
But it is selling out somewhat because some of these tactics are not just rhetoric a lot of it becomes knowingly "feeding them junk food" and calling it nutrition

Neil Degrasse Tyson starts a podcast called StarTalk.
Let's say in episode one he starts talking about 4D spacetime, gravity, velocity, and how those affect time through time dilation based off perspective. And at the beginning of that episode, he says, why should I dumb down my podcast because YOU don't know these things and didn't take the time to research them before clicking on my podcast.
You would say fuck you and your podcast.
Now let's say Tyson decides to first break down what 4D spacetime is with some simple to understand examples while adding some humor by having a comedian as a co-host and bringing on some guests to have simple conversations about spacetime to help the audience grasp the concepts.
You are far more likely to come back for episode 2. Did Tyson dumb down his podcast? 100%. But way, way, WAY more people will watch the dumbed down version and will learn at least something about spacetime than the non-dumbed down one. And if your goal was to have a successful podcast and actually help people understand physics, the second once does a much better job.
Dems are permanently stuck on option 1.
