He says the U.S. chose not to destroy the island’s oil infrastructure but warned that decision could change if Iran interferes with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran exports 90% of its crude via Kharg Island, for shipping through the narrow Strait of Hormuz. Trump’s claims have not been independently verified at this time.

STAY AWAY, KRISTI! According to reporting from journalist Rachel Bade, Donald Trump has told associates and staff that he does not want former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem around him anymore.
Per three people familiar with the situation, Trump has made it clear to confidants that Noem should be kept away, and her team has recently been informed that she is not on the guest list for several White House events. That reportedly includes Thursday’s Women’s History Month celebration and an event today honoring rodeo champions.
One defender of Noem pushed back on the reporting, calling the narrative “fake news” and claiming she spoke with Trump last night and has still been at the White House since her removal.
But according to multiple sources cited in Bade’s reporting, the message from Trump to people around him has been clear: keep Noem away.
