Anyone own a full size arcade game???

I got the small Arcade1Up NBA Jam and I added a bunch of games on that and my kid plays it more than I do and I'm happy with that and I am thankful that I didn't pull the trigger on something more expensive.

Back in the days my ol man had a few of them and it was a pain in the ass finding someone to repair them which never happened and the same could be said for a professional pool table which was my ol mans who could of been a pro but anyways to find someone that knows about balancing, breaking it down and putting it back together equals a lot of money most aren't willing to pay for something you rarely use.

Have hobbies but try to do it on a budget every year there are people who spend bread on things and sell it for less than half of what they paid for it cause they just want to get rid of it.

I need to buy Dragon's Lair so I can destroy the game with a hammer....., it's the worst stand-up video game I ever played. What a waste of tokens....

Lol I wasted hundreds of dollars on this game back in the day...it took all money comic book money..the game developer was shady as fuck...no one I knew ever made it to the end of the game..the graphics were so cold for the 1980s

Yeah, mine has over 4000 arcade and home console games. Paid about $2800 on Amazon. I lost interest after about a month or two.

I am soooooo glad I didnt go all in on one of those like I was planning.......Instead, my dumbass went all in on a racing rig/PC/steering wheel pedals etc......even purchased a few simulation racing games.......

MAN THAT SHIT IS COLLECTING MAJOR DUST IN MY MANCAVE....LOL

What racing games do you run? I got some upgraded pedals and pedal stand a month ago. Found the stand refurbished on Ebay for like $40. I usually run Assetto Corsa and have a huge library of all my dream cars.

I bought:

Automobilista
Project Cars 1 & 2
Grid 1
Grid 2
Forza Horizon

These games made me realize, I dont like driving games as much as I thought I did.

Need For Speed and Burnout were more my speed

edit: I actually played Grid alot...then I got bored

Nice. You got into Sim and Sim-cade racing which is a little more involved. I've learned through sifting through their forums that it is highly competitive and if you race online you'd better be good af or you'll anger everyone.
Main thing is you have to find "the line" when racing and know when and which gear to get into.

I have Dirt, Need for Speed, Burnout, all of that but Assetto Corsa is my shit. I don't even race, just download cars and maps and drive around and try to top speed shit. Mind you, it's a simulator at heart so laser scanned tracks, realistic ffb settings, physics, etc. I have a shifter so it makes it even more fun. The modding is so extensive you can make it look damn near like real world.

Edit: It goes on sale multiple times a year. Look for the Ultimate edition with all the DLCs. If it goes on one of those 75-85% off sales, get it!

Seems like the trend kinda came and went but that means people who are into this can probably get them at good prices or get better setups.

I'd personally love a USB verson of the NES/SNES Advantage.
Shiiddd, I wanna sell mine. Anyone in the DMV who's interested, DM me to arrange a deal and pick up.

I probably should have done research.....I went in thinking I could just fire it up, and learn on the fly...My brain dont work that way anymore..LOL

Ima need an S.O.P

Dont get me started on that shifter...lol. It took me a week to get it to work correctly.

I had been endlessly searching for one that had Killer Instinct, Ninja Gaiden, or Soul Caliber. Shit is hard to find.

You can build your own cabinet, possibly a counter top sized unit using just a Raspberry Pi. I have a buddy who built his own.

Here's an example:

I was actually thinking about building a coffee table unit for my living room since I have an ikea coffee table with hidden drawers and a couple of raspberry pi lying around.
Thanks, but I would want a full-size cabinet (not a table-top) and I am not handy at all so no way I could build my own.

I miss Jersey flea markets. I used to hit the one up in Union and the one off the Turnpike near exit 9 that is now a theater.

Yeah, no man should allow women to tell them what to do. He should had them divorce paper's ready immediately after she said some dumb shit like that.
His wife is chill, but she's never been into video games. A divorce would cost way more than that game did.

Yeah, but I'm not gonna let her tell me to turn it down because it's either she gets some headphones or go to another room. She's not his mother to tell him that and not even his mother could tell him what to do in his own house.

Ebay is a gamble since you never know if you're getting something new or used!

Just vet the vendors well. I pay attention to the description and if I think it may not be legit, message the vendor and ask questions. I haven't been burnt yet. I do buy refurbished or gently used and have no issues.

So, you never once brought anything brand new from ebay?
