Facts, I feel like whatever they try to do with android, there will always be a way to still be able to side load things we want regardless. I have no fear.

If you have an OON box or any Google TV device I suggest you turn off Play Protect or it will disable apps like UK Turks, Rapid Streamz and LiveNetTV. Also turn off the option to send diagnostics information back to Google.
For the record, you need access to developer mode for rooting. If that's disabled you won't be able to do that either.
That is one of the first things I enable on every android I have had.

That's my point. If they don't make that option available, then you can't root. There's a small chance that they block side loading and leave the option to use developer options which can easily bypass that.

It's like how image hosts like Imgur get big enough to ban porn. Amazon believes banning sideloaded apps won't affect the greater number of their Firestick buyers.
Scuttlebutt from the net is that Amazon is in play to get a major overseas soccer organization's TV rights.
One of the demands is to kill access to illegal viewing.

Also I thought if you turned off 2 settings, unlocked developer options and then allowed install of unknown apps, Amazon couldn't delete your apps.
