Just last week I was at a cafe working and one of my boys came through and sat next to me to catch up. Mind you, I haven't been at this cafe for almost 4-5 months despite it being down the street from my place and neither has he. We both know the staff quite well. He sat there and chatted while I was trying to focus on work, and then about 20 minutes in, dude starts complaining about how hungry he is. I pay him no mind. He keeps yapping about needing to eat. I respond, then get some food. He says I ain't got no money. I avoid him. He keeps mentioning that shit! He then mentions a leather bag he gave me despite me never asking for it.
Instead of asking me like a man to cover his cost for the food. He whines like a bitch and makes faces about needing to eat and how broke he is. I finally give in and get this bumb nigga some food. I feel so fucking used. I'm seriously thinking about cutting him off, as this wasn't his first time doing this to me.

I see no problem if one person has a small order and others got steak + multiple drinks.
Its a reason why I rather not eat out with a large group, especially if you're not family or close friends.

I tell the waiter immediately when my wife and I are out with friends to make sure they split ours separately. Some establishments like to play the "we can't split it after" BS. Naw.....ring my shit up separately when I order it.

This the reason why I don't like going in groups with people who are broke to dinner for them to later want to split the bill not telling you that earlier.
Only time I ever covered a dinner bill was for family since they always took care of me and a few special friends since we always help each other out when one is just don't have the money that night to pay for it, we got each other's back no matter what.

Sometimes people don't be that hungry or just wanted to hang out with friends , the food was secondary and not that important... I know people with big pockets that will order the least amount of shit but will still pay for the whole table or put in a large portion on the bill even though they didn't buy that much
Was you mad about feeding him or the cost? Cause if you mad about the cost you could've walked to a cheaper place and been like hey you want some pizza? If he would've frowned about it, its you eat these slices and be happy or starve and be more mad
Split it down the line..if total bill comes to 500 and its 10 people ya all put in 50+ tip.. Ya split it.. Separate bill means individual bill
naw, it can also be interpreted as everyone pays for what they ordered too. Some communication before going to the restaurant is needed. Especially if you are the broke person in the group and only ordered soup.
Go Google the term split the bill meaning and it says spend evenly amongst the group.. Going dutch is separate bill , everyone pays for themselves
I'm mad at the approach. He should have just asked me to buy him food and not mentioned the shitty ass leather bag that a chick bought for him, but gave to me, so that she wouldn't have leverage over him, but then used it as leverage against me.
Also, my limit at that cafe is $10 ($4 for the tea + $6 for the tip). I buy lunch elsewhere.
The total bill for the day came up to $46. Nigga didn't eat the fucking pancakes he ordered because he had to run to take a shit, as the eggs he ate earlier had given him the runs. The whole thing fuck me over.
The problem is that they thought they could get over by splitting it evenly
