Had an injury like that back in 2000 with my leg dangling. Had to have emergency surgery for a fractured femur, they had to screw and pin it back in place.
Once the femur healed Had the pins removed then therapy for a month to get some range of motion back then had ACL reconstruction and MCL repaired
2004 they had to go in and take a screw out that was bothering my knee. Kept the screw as a souvenir.
25 years later my knee rarely bothers me but when it does that bitch hurts.
