Hadden Kelly was 'TPing' a yard with friends when he collapsed in Dodge County, Georgia, on Monday, his family said.
The junior had been partaking in the prank, which involves throwing toilet paper at houses and trees, when a friend found him unresponsive at around 9am.
His great-uncle, Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith, said his nephew was rushed to local hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Smith told 41 NBC the cause of the
athletic star's death remains unclear and they are awaiting autopsy results.
The teenager was gunning to compete in the upcoming state tournament and was widely regarded as one of Dodge County High School's most talented athletes, leaving friends, family, and the community shocked by his sudden death.
His uncle described him as 'a jam-up golfer. If he didn't pass, I swear he would've gone pro.'
